Close the City and tell the people

Who: Tony Stark, a skrull body, and YOU! (This is also a mingling type of thing if you wish!)
Where: Avengers Mansion: the basement lab
When: Sunday through idk, whenever?
Warnings: Some sciencings! A dead body! There may be more autopsy-esque things in here!
Summary: Tony got ahold of the Skrull's body. This is all for education!! Also to look at everyone who comes because he monitors everyone :(
Format: Para to start, tag yourself in as you like!

809 Fifth Street. The mansion with the large A on the gates was something of a dead giveaway. They weren't open, but at a new arrival, it was likely they would. The yard itself was silent. The path to the mansion proper was blocked off with a rather familiar suit that looked a lot like Iron Man who would stand there, and point the way to the exterior basement entrance. Once in, a lot of the side projects and other tables have been cleared, and there's essentially just a Skrull's body. Tony's nearby in slacks and a button up, looking over that something that looks like an iPad (but it totally isn't!!!) his fingers tapping against it gently as he moved around the body.

There were cameras above, watching, listening in. He might be focused on the tablet for the moment, but he was pacing, waiting to educate. With the information about the Skrulls compared to what he'd known he'd been doing, he knew that hadn't worked. It had not worked. Futile. He'd thought keeping it secret had kept down the paranoia, would cause fewer problems. It hadn't. Who had been the one who suggested that? Jessica Drew. He was going to try something different, and maybe-- Maybe with all the different superhumans, different powers, things may have a better chance?

So he was going to at least try, and give some of the people a look at it up close if they wished. See who was interested, and who wasn't. And who could help out with any information he gave out. Not that he would give out all of it to anybody, paranoia only stretched so far. Things like Skrull biology, skrull society, he could share that, though. It wasn't exactly common knowledge, but common enough with the superhuman community.

Nodding his gratitude, Geddoe headed straight over and gave it a good look. He was used to the gore of battle, so that didn't bother him. Nor did the alien appearance. "I'm sure I have many, but the oh-so-charming individual who brought about this thing's death suggested I might not get answers," he said over his shoulder. "Nevertheless, the only way to stop them is to know how to."

He straightened up and faced Tony squarely. "I've gathered that you and several of your team, and others, are familiar with this foe. Are any of you already taking steps to...'detect' these skrulls?"

"If technology is out, what about our own powers?" Geddoe wondered. He had picked up rumors but wanted to be sure. "Mind-reading, empathic sense, magic. There are a lot of various powers floating around this city - are all of them useless?"

"Hm. I see." Geddoe shelved that line of questioning, giving the corpse one more once-over before speaking again. "I'll be honest, Stark. Maybe I'm not familiar with these creatures, but I see no cause for panic just yet. To me, this situation is little different from ferreting out spies or moles from among an army's ranks - and I've done that before."

He lifted his one eye to gauge Tony's reaction as he mused aloud. "Even the best spy betrays himself eventually. It doesn't take scans, or mind-reading, or anything, but understanding a person well enough to know that they've begun behaving oddly. It's never so obvious as suddenly dropping habits or changing routine, it's more subtle. I take it..." There was a slight twitch of his eyebrow. "...that you knew nothing of who among you had been taken until a crucial moment? They gave off no indication that they were preparing an invasion no matter how much that goal conflicted with the personality of the person whose life they had stolen?"

The slightest smirk crossed Geddoe's lips for an instant; he wondered if Tony knew just how long he'd been alive. It vanished just as quickly. "Is that their method of invasion, then?" he wondered. "Silent infiltration, replacing every individual one on one until they're all taken over? Or is that only for key stations with the intent on open warfare later?"
