Close the City and tell the people

Who: Tony Stark, a skrull body, and YOU! (This is also a mingling type of thing if you wish!)
Where: Avengers Mansion: the basement lab
When: Sunday through idk, whenever?
Warnings: Some sciencings! A dead body! There may be more autopsy-esque things in here!
Summary: Tony got ahold of the Skrull's body. This is all for education!! Also to look at everyone who comes because he monitors everyone :(
Format: Para to start, tag yourself in as you like!

809 Fifth Street. The mansion with the large A on the gates was something of a dead giveaway. They weren't open, but at a new arrival, it was likely they would. The yard itself was silent. The path to the mansion proper was blocked off with a rather familiar suit that looked a lot like Iron Man who would stand there, and point the way to the exterior basement entrance. Once in, a lot of the side projects and other tables have been cleared, and there's essentially just a Skrull's body. Tony's nearby in slacks and a button up, looking over that something that looks like an iPad (but it totally isn't!!!) his fingers tapping against it gently as he moved around the body.

There were cameras above, watching, listening in. He might be focused on the tablet for the moment, but he was pacing, waiting to educate. With the information about the Skrulls compared to what he'd known he'd been doing, he knew that hadn't worked. It had not worked. Futile. He'd thought keeping it secret had kept down the paranoia, would cause fewer problems. It hadn't. Who had been the one who suggested that? Jessica Drew. He was going to try something different, and maybe-- Maybe with all the different superhumans, different powers, things may have a better chance?

So he was going to at least try, and give some of the people a look at it up close if they wished. See who was interested, and who wasn't. And who could help out with any information he gave out. Not that he would give out all of it to anybody, paranoia only stretched so far. Things like Skrull biology, skrull society, he could share that, though. It wasn't exactly common knowledge, but common enough with the superhuman community.

She'd been hesitant to show up for the ... viewing, or whatever this was supposed to be. Autopsy on a dead subject was something she'd never been completely comfortable with, even when it came to the geth -- if her father's experimentation was any indication, you could never be sure who was going to do something suspect with an apparently dead body.

"Mr. Stark," Tali nodded in greeting, tugging absently at the edge of her headwrap. She felt somehow less secure in her human form with these Skrull about, even if she knew it was silly -- her omni-tool would be more accessible this way, anyway, and she wanted to record as much information as possible. She'd told Tony about the suit, about her alien physiology - as his employee, she thought she owed him full disclosure. Still, she didn't show up to work in the enviro-suit often.

"It goes without saying that I'll try to help in any way I can. Biology isn't my -- forte, but I have a passable knowledge of the species from my world. No shapeshifters, though." Maybe there were -- parallels.

She glanced around the room -- noted who else was here, and looked for any familiar faces. Ghost in particular was someone she wanted to see, if only because she wanted to make sure he was doing all right after his run-in with this particular Skrull.

"Just that they're shapeshifters and that so far there's no real concrete way to figure out whether they're who they say they are. Ghost says we shouldn't be trusting anyone."

And given the situation, she can't say she blames him. They're -- friends, and she's just happy to see him working with Tony and the others. He shouldn't have to do everything alone. She nods, looking over to the body again herself. If only Mordin were here -- he was bound to have some insight that nobody here would be able to even see.

"And that they're dangerous, of course." That was plain enough to see, though.

"What sort of a population are we expecting? Are they relatively rare, or is their the potential for them to show up in larger groups?"

She glances down at the cell, nodding.

"I'm afraid I don't know much about the situation that led up to -- these things coming here. From what I can remember about it on the network, I think I was a tad late arriving to understand it completely." And now it can't be referenced at all, at least not in a reasonably quick way -- so that was no use.

Tali nodded. It made sense -- if they didn't know who was or wasn't a Skrull, it would've be impossible to measure out the forces accurately. Crossing her arms over her chest, she turned to regard the body as well. If this was worrying people from Tony's world as much as it was, they had to be a real threat.

"I'd like to know whatever you can tell me about them, then. I'll relay it to the others from my world and anyone else who's willing to listen." She had been hoping to come here and find that they'd figured out a way to identify the Skrulls, but that was starting to look like a pipe dream.

She brought up her omni-tool, fingers clicking away at the hard-light keyboard while he spoke. It would be the easiest way to keep things accurately recorded without having to interrupt Tony -- she nodded, though, glancing up from the motion frequently so that he could see the pair of dimly glowing eyes following his movements as well as his words.

"So there are other things to worry about." The shapeshifting wasn't the end of their threat -- of course not, why would it be.

"So what they've wanted in the past is, I assume, to take control of as many planets as possible? Conquering the people on them at the same time." That was what most races that used fleets did -- at least, as long as they had a home planet to go back to.

She sighed. This ... this was going to be a big problem.

"So, other known skills? Aside from the shapeshifting."

"And I can only imagine how much more difficult those are to handle." Not necessarily kill, but -- well. She didn't want to act as if she was taking this lightly. Not when so many people were mobilizing from his universe.

"So you're saying that we ought to be willing to kill them. Ghost made that perfectly clear, thanks."

She's -- no stranger to having to kill people because they're on the wrong side, but it's not exactly something she likes. It's a necessity, that's all.
