let's join forces
WHO: Batwoman II and Tonks
WHERE: the police station
WHEN: Feb. 2nd? after the new comms, before Max steals her second Batwoman comm.
WARNINGS: Most likely none.
SUMMARY: Batwoman has information for the police, but no comm to send it to them on. So she's just going to casually drop it through a window. Without being noticed. Right?
FORMAT: Para to start, whatever you'd like after.
She'd had a couple of investigations since she got here that led to actually needing police to shut it down, and had always simply sent them a compilation of information on her second comm. Only Batwoman was attached to that comm number, and as such she'd managed to maintain more or less anonymity.
But now she was back to one comm, and one that needed to remain a Max comm if only for the sake of appearances. The only real reason for her to vanish off the network for a while was using her comm for a superhero identity, and given that a total of one person was certain of that identity and only a few more had suspicions, she was pretty attached to keeping that on the downlow. Very attached, in fact.
Which certainly went a long way to explain her present actions. Namely, gently breaking into an upper floor of the police station at night. It seemed pretty empty, the lights mostly off, and all she needed to do was leave this folder of information she'd printed out on someone's desk. The note on top was pretty self-explanatory.

Thought you could use this
, signed with a yellow bat. She crossed the floor quietly, put the folder down on a desk, and turned to go. Mission almost successful.

Tonks walks up the staircase to the second floor. She rounds the corner and walks down a corridor. The lights aren't bothered with until she enters the office area.
She reaches to her right and flicks on the light switch.

"This is really not as bad as it looks," she says, hands held out placatingly. "If you could just... note the bat ears and bat insignia and all that and not shoot me, that would be great." And then, because it's true, she adds with a grin, "I like your hair, by the way."

Tonks does note her appearance which is the only reason her wand doesn't come immediately out. "I wouldn't shoot you." Hex, jinx or curse? Yeah. Tonks could do that.
She's aware of masked vigilantes. She doesn't get them, especially their idea of what's supposed to be intimidating but that's no matter. "Are people really that terrified of bats where you come from?"
no subject
Well, she can't say that's what she was expecting to hear - some sort of variation on "intruder!" and alarms was more like it - but she's not going to question it too much. "Oh." She grins. "They are now."
no subject
"Now? Did it take a lot of kicking arse?" Tonks is curious. Why not ask? She is just standing there after all. "I have to ask, what are you doing in here?" She doesn't think that the batperson is there to break anyone out. They are on the wrong floor. Information, though? She could be after that.
no subject
Yes. Definitely. Also good is questions. "Yeah, it did," she says. Well, so she hears, at least, but that indicates future-ness and that gets complicated. And there's the question she's been waiting for. "I'm actually dropping off some information. Normally I just send it over the network, but with all the glitching... I figured I'd just leave a hard copy."
no subject
"That seems sensible," Tonks agrees. The communicators have been weird. "Why didn't you mail it? You could have done that anonymously."

She catches the folder after a little back step. "I don't suppose you'd like to tell me what's in the folder?"
no subject
"A couple different things - some drug runners whose routes and stops and bosses I've finally gotten all together. It should be a clean bust."
no subject
She then lifts her head and smiles at Max. "Thanks for this. I'm sure it'll be helpful." A sudden thought occurs to her, "My name's Tonks by the way."
no subject
"I hope it will be." She takes a step towards the window and then pauses at the introduction. "It's nice to meet you, Officer Tonks. I'm Batwoman."

And with that she drops from the window.
