WHO: Sherlock Holmes and ANYONE AT THE TOWN HALL MEETING WHO WANTS IN
WHERE: The Town Hall Meeting
WHEN: Right after the votes are finished and the five are announced.
WARNINGS: Violence, likely.
SUMMARY: Welp. He ain't going down without a fight.
FORMAT: I'm setting up in Prose, but then action spam please so I don't die.
Sherlock twitched with each vote, watching the assembly keenly. His finger tapped out a pattern on his thigh, completely at random, brow furrowing as each vote was cast.
He could feel it, there, slowly settling on his chest. The weight of his failure.
With each call of his name, it grew stronger. Failed. Failed.
He had to make a decision. He couldn't go along with this. He couldn't simply let them drag him into the dark. There was still a chance to do something.
He glanced nervously at John on his right, searching his face when the man wasn't looking. Yes. At least he could do one thing right.
"Sherlock Holmes." The name rang out and Sherlock immediately stood, tearing his arm from the sling. It was, of course, completely and entirely functional. Annoying that Sherlock had broken it, but the ruse was imperative, and now it was no longer needed.
He immediately stepped in front of John, throwing an arm out to protect him even as the other drew his gun.
"John. Run."
Suddenly the room was full of Skrulls - projections of Skrulls - created by Sherlock's mind and cast between the occupants. Never quite solid, never quite there, but you had to really look at them to notice. And in the meantime, they would serve as a distraction.
Sherlock Holmes was furious.
And he wasn't going down without a fight.
