[The streets are slick with rain. N'cho had rounded his compatriots to this place, this broken space of bright lights and human noises. They're ready, they're prepared. They know they're taking their last breaths. N'icsor's betrayal had ensured that this would be their last stand, this would be their moment of glory.

He still loved them. Didn't he?

The burning neon clock above read three minutes to nine. Rain pelted the asphalt, civilians shouted and laughed, all oblivious to the theatre unfolding.

The Skrulls knew the imports were watching, waiting. Coming. They knew they had only had each other now.]

[With Terezi out of the way, Ch'lupa focuses her attention on Kanaya, which is probably unfortunate for the young troll. She places both hands on Kanaya's shoulders, taking the kick without so much as a flinch. Ad all she does is shove her backwards.]

[terezi finally regains her feet and, taking advantage of her video game inventory, retrieves her super awesome cane sword from her strife specibus. she unsheathes the sword as she approaches ch'lupa again, with intent to stab in a non-vital area.]

[ kanaya's a bit shocked at the relative ineffectiveness of the kick. something with that amount of force should've sent her flying, but instead, she's the one caught off-balance as she stumbles back ]

[As soon as Kanaya is away, Ch'lupa goes to break Terezi's cane... but it falls apart. She stares for a split second at the cane, and then tears the cord apart, throwing it to the side. She then sees the blind troll coming at her with some sort of sword, and takes a defensive pose to block the attack as best she can.]

[terezi is most likely aiming to stab her in the shoulder. and she's approaching fast!! WHAT HAPPENS NEXT.]

[ kanaya's had enough time to regain her footing, and darts around to the back before dashing up to pound ch'lupa in the side with everything she's got ]

[The skrull ducks so that Terezi's stab is just a graze, and Kanaya's punch is off-center. But it still hurts, and it makes Ch'lupa's anger flare.]

Enough!

[Her hands shot out at both trolls, meaning to grab them so she could deal with them as quickly and painlessly as possible.]

[well, terezi is definitely in her grip now. squirming and clawing at her, probably, but in her grip nonetheless.]

Let go!!

[ kanaya hisses and flails violently ]

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH HER?!

[Ch'lupa began to take her true form: tall, but still feminine, she kept Nill's hair and wings.]

She is unharmed! But I'm afraid you two will have to wait a bit longer to see her.

[And she goes to throw them both back towards a nearby wall.]

[terezi is pretty light and certainly can't stop herself mid-flight, so...that sure isn't a fun way to meet a wall!! on the bright side, though, terezi hits it with her side instead of her face.

she'll just...be lying over here for a minute. on the ground. in a little ball of pain. somewhere deep inside, she is thinking: oh, this is what i actually expected adults to be like.]

[ kanaya does manage to twist around in the air, but seeing terezi hit it full force is enough to distract her from making as graceful a landing as she'd like

when she regains her footing, it's terezi that similarly keeps her from heading off another charge, as she hunches over the other girl's crumpled form to check on her ]
