WHO: Cass Cain and The Goblin Formerly Known as Darkdevil
WHERE: Cass's secret apartment.
WHEN: Sunday night.
WARNINGS: reilly and cass being them, with a side of extra weird
SUMMARY: Reilly has just found out his beloved cousin was a Skrull. Or is that his beloved enemy? Oh, brainwashing, you're so confusing. Either way, this means he has to go cry in girlfriend's arms.

Reilly wasn't exactly sure how he'd gotten here. Teleportation, he assumed, but everything was a blur. Spotting May - no, the Skrull - attacking her family and friends. Then...
It wasn't her that had been blown to bits before his eyes. Before he could do anything to stop it, anything to save her, anything to hurt her... yes. That's what he was supposed to do. How could he have forgotten? These stupid aliens were skewing his priorities. That had to be it.
So why was it, when he thought that he'd lost Spider-Girl, he felt this panic and sadness? He should be relieved. She was his... his enemy. Someone who had gotten in the way of Norman Osborn's plans. And an annoying, stubborn brat besides. So why did he feel like this?
He ran a hand through his hair, nervous for reasons he couldn't explain. Then started banging on the door, loud and hard. Again and again. Cass had to open it! She had to.
Because he didn't know what to do. Or who else to turn to.
