Junk Garage [Semi-open]

WHO: Sho Minamimoto [livejournal.com profile] inverse_matrix, Godzilla [livejournal.com profile] gamera_sucks, Duo [livejournal.com profile] hellraiser02, Kariya Koki [livejournal.com profile] lazylollipop
WHERE: The junkyard!
WHEN: Kind of around vaugely near the kerfuffle with the 'porter, but after things have calmed down (after Gojira has left?) man I don't know. Either way, early in the morning.
SUMMARY: Sho Minamimoto goes for art supplies and has a Random Encounter.
FORMAT: Whatever we feel like. If we get lazy we'll dissolve into quicklogs.

Sho had been living a rather strange life lately.

He didn't give a digit about hero work. Why would he bother? It wasn't like being a Reaper, he wasn't threatened with death if he didn't do it, and there was no tangible reward for it. Sho was all about tangible reward, about power and being in the spotlight.

He had no plans, here and now. If this had been Shibuya, he would have been making plans to take out the Composer. Hell, if this was another Underground he'd be doing the same thing.

But if he was alive again, why bother? Taking out the suit wasn't going to give him any power. Really, wasn't it time to start again?

And for Sho, starting again meant getting his art out.

Which meant a trip to the junkyard.

"KARIYA KOKI!" he shouted, banging on Kariya's apartment door. "SHIFT YOUR ZETTA LAZY ASYMTOPE COORDINATES OUT HERE BEFORE I DERIVATE YOU. I NEED SOMEONE TO HELP ME WITH THIS PROJECT AND YOU ARE THE ONLY REAPER AROUND."

Kariya wasn't thinking much about it either, to be honest. He'd been dead (well, in that strange state of undeath that all Reapers were in) for so long, he didn't really feel a difference anymore.

Kariya pulled a hair tie from his pocket and put his hair into a loose pony tail in order to get the orange mop out of his eyes. "Art supplies, huh? THis couldn't have waited until the afternoon?" He knew the answer was of course, no. Sho had already been up for three hours at this point, he'd wager.

Kariya shook his head at the horrible, horrible joke.

"Alright, alright, but what do you need me for? You did this all alone back in Shibuya."

Kariya looked up thoughtfully. They were all good reasons. But why HIM? He wanted to sleep in.

"Ah well. Can we at least stop and get some coffee somewhere?"

"Thank GOD. Or whatever."

The first coffee shop they passed was what looked like this world's equivalent of a Starbucks. Kariya didn't bother to look. He smelled coffee. Nearly running inside, he ordered a plain coffee and dumped at least five sugars in it while Sho ordered. Sipping the warm drink with a happy smile on his face, he nodded. Even after a few sips he was looking much more awake.

"Alright, now I'm good. Where is this scrapyard?"

Kariyta vaguely wondered how Sho could drink that stuff straight like that. Kariya, he just couldn't. Way too bitter for him.

The orange haired man thought about these coordinates for a while before putting them into his comm device, bringing up a map of the city. He gasped, "But...! That's like 20 blocks! How are we gonna move all that heavy stuff that far?!"

This day was already looking awful.

Kariya sighed and finished off his coffee, tossing the empty cup into the garbage, then muttered, "I don't see how science is going to help us, unless science makes us a long range teleporter..." Even in the UG, Reapers could only teleport themselves and some small objects any sort of distance. And even then, that distance was limited to a football field length. Maybe. If you concentrated very hard.

Kariya groaned and followed Sho out of the coffee shop. Why was he doing this? A little voice told him that since Sho WAS a GM, he was still technically Kariya's superior. Plus, the other shinigami was as close to a friend as Kariya had in this weird city and he didn't want to nip that possible friendship in the bud by not obliging Sho's... odd interests.
