this ain't Antarctica
Who: Penguin and Captain Cold
When: Sometime soon after this thread
Where: the Iceberg Lounge
Warnings: Probably discussion of murder, crime, violence. Also shady dealings, but nothing major.
Summary: Cold’s feeling cool towards Penguin, but willing to make a deal with him.
Format: Quick?
[ Finding directions to the Iceberg Lounge was relatively simple, and getting there was no big deal. Cold’s still in his usual uniform, looking a bit worse for wear but at least he’d had time to actually clean it. His hood is up and his holster’s empty. If things went south he’d give Mirror Master a shout and get out of there in no time.
He had no plans to run.
Cold strides into the bar with a rough confidence and a presence that only a man wearing a bright blue parka possibly could. He knows he’s not this place’s usual clientele, but it didn’t really matter – this was business. ]

The one where Oswald already waited, a hand already flicking the end of a cigarette, removing a long trail of ashes. ]
Why Captain, welcome to the Iceberg Lounge. I'm sure the theme is pleasing, isn't it?

When he reaches Penguin he folds his arms and stays standing, but casually. He even gives a small smirk. ]
I couldn't have chosen it better myself. Makes me feel right at home.

I'm sure it does. The theme was always a bit close to your preferences.

Captain, I'm always more than willing to speak with a potential associate.

Merely a cautionary measure, and quite the lucky stroke of genius it was. I don't think many of you would have been available at my beck and call, now would you? [ And plus, he's "legit" now. 8| ]

He snorts. ] I don't think we'd be takin' orders from you anytime soon. [ He pauses, scratching a bit of stubble. ] If you ever go home, I don't think they'll be takin' any more orders from you either, if you get what I mean.

Why am I not surprised? [ Actually, he's quite annoyed to hear that :( ]
Clearly I should have sprung for the real thing.

[ But he waved a hand, dismissively. He wouldn't play all of his cards quite yet. ]
I would think settling it with the poorly constructed copies would have been plenty. [ he knew better ]

Settled it enough, but there's a bit left over. [ He shifts his weight. Wary but ready. ] Not goin' to ask you for much, Penguin - it might even turn out better for both of us.
no subject
Oh. Do go on, now you have me curious.

And what sorts of goods are you looking to sell? I do believe something could potentially be arranged.

[ He crosses his arms, straight faced. ] We can hash out the details. S'long as you keep this up and treat us fair - and I know what things are worth, Penguin - we got no problems. [ Pause. He looks lowers his chin slightly to look at penguin more clearly through the goggles. ] Any hint of double-cross and I take you out. Don't matter where I end up or where you hide - a Rogue repays his debts.
Sound reasonable ta you?
