It'd been a whole month since this strange dream started. A whole month as his life turned upside down and everything stopped making sense.
He'd gotten the job back, that was what was important. He'd even gotten his japanese peace lily.
But he'd thought the job was in a good place and with good people, and that didn't look to be the case. He stared down at his pint, untouched on the bar.

Look, back home people got caught up in superfights all the time. It gets old for them fast, and they have a right to look at us as the cause of their problems.

Even without super powers, when ordinary citizens get caught up in things like this, it's never a good thing. They can't trust the service if they deal just as much damage as the bad guys do.
