(no subject)

WHO: Kaylee and Mike
WHERE: Clio, a restaurant that is TOTALLY in The City and not cribbed from a place actually in Boston. Totally.
WHEN: 4/16 dinnertimes
WARNINGS: Fancy food, a tab that's far more than two people should spend on a single meal, and also snooty waitstaff.
SUMMARY: Kaylee and Mike go out to celebrate his birthday.
FORMAT: Prose

Mike didn't know why he was nervous. It's not like this was a date or anything.
Because it wasn't.
A date.

He knew that, and he was more then positive that she knew that. What he worried about was whether or not she knew that he knew that. Because he totally did. Know that. He did.

Ugh. This mental run around was exhausting.
For what was the umpteenth time since he and Raph had 'ported in, Mike wished that April was here to help him with this. People were/are....weird. They're almost like turtles, and nothing like they are on tv, and this was more than a little confusing for him.

So there he was, standing outside of Kaylee's door, partaking in a deep calming breath.
Master Splinter would be so proud.
You know, aside from the fact that Mike was about to break about a million of the old rat's rules in one fell swoop.

Mike knocks on the door, and then attempts not to fidget.

Kaylee thinks about this a moment. "Dunno. Maybe more if you weren't caught, less if you were, less if it got violent."
