WHO: Vector Prime, Skyfire, and Surprise Guests
WHERE: Autobase
WHEN: Today! Now-ish!
WHAT: Vector Prime and Skyfire are having a nice day when they have some uninvited guests show up. How rude.
WARNINGS: Violence.
FORMAT: Para to start, can adapt.
"Over two years, and I still simply do not see the point."
Vector gave the television a critical glance, leaning along the back of the couch. Aurex had managed to get herself up on it, and was purring loudly as he ran his hand across her back, more out of habit than anything else. She positioned himself, perhaps headbutted his hand once or twice, and he simply - reacted.
It was a far cry from what the screen was displaying, a cat attempting to jump a distance and falling pathetically short, a dog jumping up on to someone to partake in their ice cream, a rat finding itself comfortable in- well. Er.
"Did they have these on Cybertron?" he asked, looking down at Skyfire curiously. "These...'Funniest Videos'?"

He rests his chin in his hand and reaches to pat Aurex who swats at him playfully.
"What do you find funny, Vector? You're so serious all the time."
It's nice to have a day off, and he feels like things are actually going well for him now. Despite the differences in his beliefs, Vector has proved himself a valuable friend.

Mile off underneath a non descript Rossum facility Boyd sat in the middle of the Global Protection Services Operations Room. Reaching over he keyed the mike for the headset he was wearing. "Yes Bravo One, proceed as planned. Eliminate the other Import if you have to, but I'd prefer you simply incapacitate them. Understood?"
The mercenary nodded his head as if Boyd was standing in front of him. "Understood, proceeding." Switching channels on his radio he made sure his team was ready before giving the order to storm the apartment. "Go go!"
The first merc kicked down the front door while two others rappeled in through the windows quickly followed by the rest of the team dressed as masked FBI HRT members. "On the ground both of you!"

Aurex yowled as windows crashed in, immediately bolting off the couch for safety. Vector's own reaction was more than reflex, it was programmed instinct; he held up a hand, half-gripping the air as his blade snapped in to existence in a flash of green light.
Were he still a mech, his combat subroutines would have snapped online. As it was, he only crouched, free hand on the ground as he gripped Rhisling tightly.
What in the Allspark was this? Had another emergency come upon the City?

"What?! What the scrap is this?!"
As soon as he gets his bearings, he realizes this is a shake down. At first he'd thought they were the police, but that's not the case at all. He bristles and gets ready to put up a fight.

He looks at the one who spoke, narrowing his eyes, calculating the odds...before simply letting go. The sword falls to the floor, its sound muffled by carpet.
Vector isn't worried. If need be, it will come back to him.
"What is the meaning of this," he asks calmly, but with no small hint of anger in his voice as he starts to rise - slowly, carefully, ever watchful.
no subject
He has half a mind to move in front of Vector, seeing as they seem to be aiming for him, but he thinks it better to be unassuming until he can get one of them close enough to grab.
So he puts his hands up in surrender.

For the most part, Vector Prime believes he has a very good temper. Among his kin, he would say he holds a better nature; one that forgives slights, one that is prepared to humble itself, one that tolerates far beyond what anyone could ask of it.
This, however. This...invasion. This threat.
This does not amuse him.
"And who would summon me?" he asks with icy politeness, remaining in place. Then, almost as an after thought, he looks towards Skyfire - and speaks in Cybertronian. "Have you any idea who they are?"
no subject
"No idea. Whatever you do, don't submit to them. We both fight when they get close. I'm not letting them take you."
He keeps his hands raised and his voice flat, as to not imply what he had just said in any way.

WHOEVER IS READING THIS AND IS A FAN OF TRANSFORMERS I APOLOGIZE PROFUSELY except not
Him first.
"After all, we are more than meets the eye."
On the floor, Rhisling vanishes, reforming in Vector's hand - which is already in motion. To offer cover from the weaponsfire of those at the windows, he slashes the air, a spacebridge portal forming between he and them.
Skyfire, he can only hope, moves quickly enough - or proves himself sturdy enough - to endure the first rounds.

Skyfire moves as soon as he sees the opening in space-time. He's not really trained to fight, but he'll do his best, moving and throwing his full wight at the nearest man, swinging one arm out. If he connects, it would easily send the man through a wall.
The shuttle, while his main power is flight, has strength comparable to if he were still six stories tall and made of alien alloy.
He's formidable... for a research scientist.

The aim isn't the point. The cover fire inadvertently offered by their own men, is.
"Skyfire! Through the hall!" he barks. His first priority is to see his friend safe - then to defend his home.
no subject
He can only form a garbled cry in response before he's down for the count.
Damn it.
He wants to tell Vector to run, because it's him they're after... but he can't form the words.
no subject
"Cease fire! Cease fire!" The lead merc shouts as he moves up to Skyfire and plants his boot on the Cybertronian's chest. "I've got your friend, I think you know what comes next. Now are you going to surrender?"
no subject
Tricurse it-! Vector starts to move as he sees Skyfire fall, but he can't get there quickly enough. Two steps and he halts, Rhisling held behind him, an ugly expression of strain on his face as he looks from the fallen man up to the soldier - then back down again.
They haven't killed him. Although they said they would, they haven't, which means there's still a chance-
"You may have my surrender," he says slowly, looking back up, "on the condition that I may see him to safety. Then I will cooperate as you see fit, to the best of my ability. But only if I am certain of him continuing another day."

At this point, the two portals have fallen, disappeared in to nothingness. With a grimace at their handling of the shaken Skyfire, Vector brings up Rhisling again, making a decision...
...and then bringing the blade down, angled away from any of the mercenaries. This time, the opening is in the floor; a clean drop in to a whirling mass of color. Keeping Rhisling lowered with its tip to the floor, the Prime then nods at it.
"Drop him there. Skyfire, I'm sending you to Shockwave. I trust the two of you will do what you can."
It would certainly be easy to fight as soon as Skyfire's gone, to strike at these insolent brigands and demand them say who their master is. Who dares order them to charge his home, to harass his friends.
But such things can be said in person, and Vector Prime is quite confident in his ability to make his leave, once he has his answers. It's clear that they would prefer his cooperation, which is why he offered it.

He winces at the weight on him, he's still twitching from the shock, his muscles won't cooperate.
Of if he could move he'd break this man's leg without a second thought.
All he can do is shake his head helplessly at Vector.
No damn it.

It was there if he needed it.
"Very well. I confess I am eager to meet him as well," he declared, turning to the one who seemed to be the leader. "Lead on."
He would follow without protest.
no subject
"Thank you, Captain. Please inform Charlie team to come down and provide security just in case and when they get here you can go. Now as for you. You know something I very interested in."

His face and posture...all of it said without words, I am above this. I am above you. And every inch of progress they took cemented it.
When they arrived at the laboratory, his hands were clasped before him, cool and composed as his red eyes focused on the man.
"Your name?"

Now he resummoned Rhisling, throwing out his arm so that the edge of the blade was at Boyd's neck. His eyes burned, suppressed rage held back by dignity alone.
"You send soldiers to invade my home, threaten my friend, assault our persons, and to damage my sanctuary. What possible knowledge could possibly be worth you daring commit such an insult to a Prime!"

"Are you such a fool as to believe this is the best way to ask me for information? Much less of such sensitive information?" He narrowed his eyes. "What reason have you to seek out such knowledge?"

He'd already made his attempt at fixing things. It failed. And Vector rather doubted this human held the pieces he needed to feel comfortable in another attempt.

To be fair, he hadn't been paying much attention to the other guards, having thought them smarter than to strike with their master in such a position.
Or perhaps not smarter, simply - more honorable.
Vector made a sound of pain at the kick, starting to crumple - then gurgled as the electricity shot through him, losing grip on the blade and falling to the ground. It clattered next to him, even as he reached to try and grab it, but his limbs would hardly respond.
