[ There are sacks of flour lined up on a table in the front of the classroom, waiting to be claimed by the students. The remainder of the class time has been set aside for the students to meet with their assigned partners to plan for the project. It is not explicitly stated that this time may also be used to decorate the "babies", but students could do that with the time if they choose. ]

[ Erik stands at the front of the classroom to read off the assignments of each couple, who were paired together at random. He then requires one member from each pair to step forward to draw a piece of paper out of a bowl. On that piece of paper is the name of a superpower that their "baby" will be given.

Once he has finished giving the instructions on the project, he takes a seat behind his desk, supervising the students and prepared to answer any questions they may have. ]

Why do I even have to do this dumb assignment? I'm never going to have a kid! I just got back from another dimension two days ago, too. I demand an exemption!

[ Erik sets down the pen that he was using to mark a paper with and turns his attention to the young student. ]

We are all from other dimensions, Calvin. You say that you have no such intentions now, but there is no knowing what the future has in store for you. It is best to be prepared for any eventuality.

But I just got back from mine. I have all kinds of emotional stuff I need to process from being torn away from my home! And jet lag. What's the name for jet lag that comes from switching universes? Porter lag?

[Shrugs] Anyway, the point is this assignment doesn't make sense. You should just give me an 'A' for helpfully explaining it to you and let me skip it.

Ms. Jones is your guardian, correct? If she writes a note requesting for you to be excused from the assignment, then I will do so. Otherwise, you will have to do your classwork just like everyone else.

A baby with a power to imprison someone? Wonderful.

[She does sound half amused though. It was a good thing that powers didn't usually develop until the teens.]

Some of the powers are open for interpretation, as it stands. The child could be capable of shapeshifting into a pegasus, or simply possesses pegasus traits in their standard form.

'Oh, that guy who killed everyone and destroyed most of New York and tried to steal her friend that one time? He's making her take care of a baby? What the hell is this place?' Yeah. ...Yeah.

When she comes up to him, her curiosity is turning into a little bit of a frown. ]

The grumbling stops immediately once he draws the power.]
