how can you ask for forgiveness?

WHO: MIRROR MASTER and PIED PIPER
WHERE: Piper's... place...?
WHEN: NOW... ish.
WARNINGS: Ummm language and maybe violence, we'll see?
SUMMARY: Piper and Evan kiss and make up. Metaphorically.
FORMAT: Quick/quickpara?

Since his technology had started working again -- which had relieved Evan immensely, despite all assurances that it would happen eventually -- Evan had taken to lying low; he had left Cold's place and disappeared back "in between" mirrors so he could bide his time in peace, keep an eye on things and people without having to get involved. His plan had also been to wait until Piper wouldn't think to expect him, but his own temper cooled somewhat in the meantime.

He could hurt him, sure, but then Piper would come back and bitch at him some more, and over all it was beginning to sound like the start of a rivalry far too time-consuming to be worth it. He wasn't the Flash. So he wouldn't kill him, and that was a good start. He leaned out of the television screen in Piper's apartment and waited a moment, making sure he wasn't about to be walked in on, and then strolled over to the couch to sit and wait.

Piper'd just left for a quick grocery run, and returned none the wiser, putting the key in the door and pushing in, glancing around. He dropped a bag defensively when he caught the glimpse of the searing orange and green outfit.

"Christ, Evan," He started, backing up to the landing outside the door again, contemplating running. He'd just die tired.

"...what do you want?"

"I don't need Trickster to hold my hand." Piper managed, moving back into his apartment (dammit it was his) and shutting the door behind him, bending to start picking stuff up, watching Evan with actual lessening suspicion. There was a little guilt, too--Tricks had told him to try to square this away face to face, and between work and a general malaise he had avoided dealing with it.

"Okay. Is that all you're here for?"
