(no subject)

WHO: Razer and Saint Walker
WHERE: Somewhere in the Otis Pike High Dune Wilderness Area.
WHEN: Backdated to May 30th
WARNINGS: None, will update if necessary.
SUMMARY: Razer and Saint Walker have a talk.
FORMAT: Quick to begin, then whatever.

[ Saint Walker's presence in the city had taken Razer by surprise - he hadn't expected to see him again, much less as member of a Lantern Corps he had never heard of. Still, there was also the possibility that it wasn't even the same person he had met back at Mogo, so he had accepted to meet in person despite his initial hesitancy for the sake of at least leaving things clear.

Having flown to the wilderness, Razer is now hovering slightly over the ground while looking for Saint Walker. ]

[Walker had lost no time trying to familiarize himself with the parts of the City that reminded him of Odym, the more rural the better, for meditation purposes.

Now he was engaged in watching a bee perching on a flower near his hand, sitting in a grassy patch not far from the water's edge, when he catches movement--fiery red movement--out of the corner of one eye.]

Lantern Razer. [he didn't get up, yet, but he did turn his head to look, to get a better measure. Yes. There was no mistaking the emblem on that uniform as the same belonging to Atrocitus and his Lanterns, but the behavior was ... encouraging.]

It's beautiful today, isn't it?
clement: (mercy for the weakened)

Oh, no. I had hoped we could discuss you. I am familiar with Atrocitus, you see. [this opening was as much to prove transparency as it was to see Razer's reaction to the name. Perhaps he was from a universe where the Red Lanterns were different--led by someone who had not tapped into the red light through unstable so-called blood magic--or perhaps there was a different explanation for Razer's nature.

He got up slowly.]
clement: (through the deepest cavern hearts)

[Ah, so it did get a reaction. A falling out, perhaps. He would have to be careful.] Please do not misunderstand me, Razer. We are not friends, he and I. It is complicated.

[but serene honesty is how he excels] The Red Lanterns I have known are difficult to speak to. Furious. They have great pain and psychosis... and they--vomit their rage uncontrollably.

Has your ring done anything like that to you?
clement: (to the boundaries of the mind)

[personal profile] clement 2012-06-16 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
This is fascinating from my perspective. [lightly reaching out to touch the insignia of the Red Lanterns on Razer's chest, two-fingeredly.] Nor does my Ring detect, or your behavior suggest, that you are infected by rage. ...I would ask if you had come into contact with a Blue Lantern previously, but I suspect... as you recognized me--that I know the answer. [close but no banana]

Where are you staying?
clement: (thrust into the deep end again)

[personal profile] clement 2012-06-17 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[Walker offers no resistance as his hand is pushed away, though he does curl his fingers inward a little.]

...my Corps can heal the red psychosis, and render lanterns of--your old Corps--lucid.

[a long moment]

Will you tell me the circumstances of your resignation?
clement: (yes i know it hurts so bad)

[personal profile] clement 2012-06-19 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
[that sounds brutal. And Walker can buy it, given what he personally knows of Atrocitus' reactions to ...stress]

I see... I am sorry, Razer. I know that one of the quickest paths to that Corps is pain.
