WHO: The Major, the Doctor, and their game pieces. I.e. EVERYONE.
WHERE: Throughout the City.
WHEN: The nights of Friday the 6th to Sunday the 8th.
WARNINGS: Violence and death galore.
SUMMARY: The Major and Doctor Einsturzen go to war for fun, and drag the entire City along for the ride.
FORMAT: Whatever works!
Nightfall was marked by fire. The subway station at East 42nd Street and Park Avenue rocked as a series of explosives ripped through the tunnels, setting everything ablaze, lighting up the evening and filling it with the terrified screams of civilians. That was the first. It was starting.
Across the City, there was movement from the underground. Vampires in trenchcoats and gas masks emerged onto the streets, bloodthirsty and vicious. Hounds the size of bears or larger, barely recognizable as what they once were, prowled from the alleys, saliva dripping from their jowls. Children in canine masks darted across the rooftops. All the while, more explosions tore across the City subway systems, as if keeping time for the two monstrous armies marching towards each other.
Anything that stood between them would be consumed-- natives, ImPorts, businesses, homes. Nothing was safe. This war would be winner take all, a prize of bloodshed and destruction to the psychopath left standing. The nights to follow would be long and full of terrors.

Not yet. The west side is too volatile to cross. [ She's been keeping track of the gunfire tearing out from the windows on that side, and it's definitely heavier. And bullets, while not lethal, tend to be more painful than arrows.
She does dart in closer though, snapping at the nearest men even if it means coming away with a mouthful of mostly concrete and glass shards. These windows are too damn small. ]

I can get in if I'm close enough.

[ That in an annoyed growl, with her patience already running short. And all it takes to snap it, as it turns out, is one shot too many fired from the roof. She wheels away and climbs, doing pretty much the opposite of getting to the south side of the building, right up until she dives for the rooftop regiment with one of her deafening screams. First out is a blast of acid, which eats into body armor and vampires alike. She hovers low enough to facilitate any leaping off of her back, but is more intent on swiping claws and tail down at the remaining attackers. ]

When they dip low, she begins to slide down the rope. Any enemies who get close get a boot to the face or chest, knocking them off the building. She cringes when Khisanth lets out a scream, but says nothing.
Ugh, the smell is repugnant.
Finally, she takes the plunge, gripping either side of her cape to glide down. As soon as her feet touches ground she makes a break for it. Chances are Dick and the others are at the bottom of the building. ]

A thin jet of acid slams into the center of the chest of a Nazi darting toward Kate from the left, and Khisanth turns her attention back to her immediate fight. But with one eye on Batwoman, this time. There's no way she's letting her die this early. ]

She nods, a quick acknowledgement and draws her line to swing down the side of the roof and kick in a window. ]

Facts. He needs to link the facts together and think. Think like Batman. Batman in a cell with no cowl, no belt, no boots, and no communicator. ]

Keep your back to the wall!

He's not allowed a lot of movement in the bindings as they are, but he's done a lot more with less to work with. He pushes with his feet until he can roll a few more inches backwards. ]
I'm clear, just get in here!

Dick.
She regains her focus almost immediately and moves back from the door as the flickering light on the mini-bomb switches to a solid red. ]
Better cover your ears.
[ The explosion isn't deafening, but it still shakes the walls and floor a little as it breaks a part of the door down. Weakened enough for Kate to kick the rest down.
She moves through the smoke and dust, never missing a step as she heads for Dick. ]
Are you alright?

Room service could use an upgrade.
[ Batwoman. Of course it has to be Batwoman. ]
I take it the blockade didn't last.
no subject
It's a hit or a miss out there.

[ He's halfway rambling, rolling a little further onto his side to give her a better angle. It feels like he's had them on for days. At least as long he keeps talking they don't have to talk about...
...about whatever it is they can never seem to really talk through before she disconnects the comm. ]
...Wait, how many- is there anybody else being held...?
no subject
Do you think you've been compromised? I haven't seen anything on the Network or news about unmasking.
[ She pauses. ]
Six imPorts, but there are some natives in here, too.
[ Another pause. ]
He's already gunned one imPort down. Live on the Network.
no subject
...Damn it. That's- [ Not surprising so much as disappointing. ]
No, I don't know what they... I mean, I'm assuming if it's not out there in public already they were holding it for leverage. Or-
[ His thoughts are a mess. Hundreds, maybe thousands dead by now because he couldn't hold it together long enough to make it count. He presses his hands to his forehead and tries to sort through the vague pieces of memory he has of that night. ]
What's the plan to get everybody out?
no subject
We need to move fast. Can you walk?
no subject
I'm fine. If we work together it won't take long. Listen, I- [... oh right. ]
-I need something to put on.
no subject
Do you know if they still have your uniform around here?
no subject
Probably not anywhere accessible. But maybe if we improvise... [ He's lucky this version has the cape detached. He reaches for the fabric and tries to pull it apart with his hands, wincing a little because yep that kevlar's not going anywhere. ]
Tell me you brought something sharp.
no subject
Let's get moving. I want to get all the others out as I don't think the others have a coordinated plan of attack. [ Incredibly worrying, as they might end up killing and hurting more civilians and hostages in this situation. ]
no subject
Whose plan was that?
[ No time to cut holes for the eyes, so he ties it around his nose and mouth instead. It's not pretty, but it does the job for now. ]
I'll do what I can from this side if you can get to the other prisoners. What's the situation outside?
