Considering that it had been a total shit week, Sirius debated calling the party off a number of times. In the end, however, he figured a shit week was probably the best reason of all to have a party and get totally plastered so he went ahead and started setting up. For a guy like Sirius, setting up taking the liquor (bottles upon bottles of champagne, plus a bit whiskey and tequila) out of the cabinet and placing it somewhere people could reach it. For anyone under the age of... fifteen he had soda. Willow said she'd be bringing the fondue.

The “costume” requirement he had decided on last minute, and even then figured he wouldn't put one on and laugh at everyone who did, but come to think of it, why should he miss out on the fun? Sirius threw on a crown, wrapped himself in one of those ridiculous faux-fur robes, and put on The Clash. He proceeded to light a cigarette, take a shot or two of whiskey to start, and plop on the couch, waiting for guests.

Terry fought the urge to take a step back, because it would be ridiculous to be put out by someone quite that excitable. He just grinned and shrugged, crossing his arm across the tee (http://www.superherostuff.com/characters/Batman/images/nightwing_tshirt_2.jpg). "I think I'm Irony. Possibly Paranoia." So many people going bare around here. He had to admit, he was more comfortable like this considering delving into the unknown, but it was better than coming out with 'Nightwing' if no one else would understand why exactly that was funny. He looked him over, "What about you?"

If Bart had had some sort of more developed observation skills, he might have found a resemblance between the bird on the shirt and Nigtwing's costume. However, he'd barely seen Nightwing before and they were not identical, only somewhat similar.

He raised an eyebrow at the answer he received and decided to ignore it. "I'm obviously a pirate," he told the guy. And thinking about him as 'the guy' was already a bit annoying. "Who are you then? For real, not the costume. Although the costume looks like some cheap excuse to hide your identity and trust me I've seen a lot of cheap excuses for that - hey as long as you don't show up with fishnets and arms tattoo for the sake of not telling your name I guess everything is kind of okay. I'd have seen worse. I'm Bart, by the way."

And he talks really, really fast for a pirate, Terry noted mentally. Then gave himself a metaphorical kick: it's a night off, stop making observations.

He burst out laughing at the image of fishnets and arm tattoos. Did people really do that? Did it fool anyone? More importantly, were there pictures? It was something to look into if - when - he got home. Though typing fishnets into that computer might give him nightmares. "Nope, I'm just going with a pop culture reference and hopefully one that doesn't make me look ridiculous." He settled into a smirk, "I'm Terry."

Sadly, Bart didn't have any pictures but seeing as the point was to pass on TV disguised as Mr. Sarcastic, he could probably find the footage... back at home. Anyway, the questions not being asked out loud, Bart couldn't comment in that direction.

"Weeeell, apparently I don't know enough about pop culture because I'm not getting it." He didn't care much - seeing as most people were from different universes and all, everyone's pop culture was different in the first place.

He shrugged, looking down and pulling at the blue bird in a betraying and slightly nervous fashion which he'd kick himself for if he stopped to take stock. "It's a Nightwing bird," He said, almost to himself. "Figured spandex was not a good idea with a bunch of vigilantes, you know?"

Bart's eyes widened and then he frowned and looked carefully at the bird. "Iii guess it looks a bit like the symbol on Nightwing's uniform. Is that the one your Nightwing wears? I guess this means you have Bats in your world uh? Are you one yourself? Oh wait," he looked slightly annoyed and pressed his lips in a line, "if you are you're not going to tell me. Figures."

"Wore. Wears. I'm not sure." He frowned and suddenly wanted to hit Wayne over the head with something heavy. This non-disclosure shit was never going to work. "I haven't met the man, if that's what you're asking. Unless it's a chick where you come from. " That was a disturbing thought. He tried to shake it off.

Aaaand it didn't mean anything because if the guy was one of the Bat people, he really wouldn't be saying it. Right.

"He's a guy, but we have a Batgirl. Or well, two, I guess. One of them is here, actually. She's a bit scary."

Terry had met that one. She did seem slightly more frightening than the Commish and that was a feat all of it's own, but a lot of people could seem intimidating in a mask. "Maybe that's the point," He mused. It wouldn't hurt to have a little intimidation sometimes. "Vigilante and all."
