tonight make me unstoppable
WHO: Sirius Black + OPEN
WHERE: Moonybase~!
WHEN: Thursday night, March 26th
WARNINGS: Nah
SUMMARY: Costume. Party.
FORMAT: Whatever you want.
Considering that it had been a total shit week, Sirius debated calling the party off a number of times. In the end, however, he figured a shit week was probably the best reason of all to have a party and get totally plastered so he went ahead and started setting up. For a guy like Sirius, setting up taking the liquor (bottles upon bottles of champagne, plus a bit whiskey and tequila) out of the cabinet and placing it somewhere people could reach it. For anyone under the age of... fifteen he had soda. Willow said she'd be bringing the fondue.
The “costume” requirement he had decided on last minute, and even then figured he wouldn't put one on and laugh at everyone who did, but come to think of it, why should he miss out on the fun? Sirius threw on a crown, wrapped himself in one of those ridiculous faux-fur robes, and put on The Clash. He proceeded to light a cigarette, take a shot or two of whiskey to start, and plop on the couch, waiting for guests.
[*You guys can just form new threads & talk to people & you know the drill party blah blah anything goes :)]

It's so cheesy. What is this?
"You're a very kind person, Ruka," he said. "And I'll thank you again for telling me this. I'm sure things will get better soon. There are things to hope for after all."
... have we accidentally stumbled into afterschool special territory?
As for the strength of her belief, the answer was probably too simple for the matter at hand: Quatre regretted his actions, and to Ruka it seemed as though he wanted to believe that he could do right, that he could -- while not undo any of the damage done, could prevent any such future calamities from occurring by his hand or any other.
So long as there was life left to seize, the tables could turn towards victory; so long as Quatre believed in his own ability to do right, Ruka would, too.
"Thank you, too. For being honest, and... trusting me." She knew then that it would be so easy for her to simply walk back across the room to where her guardian was avoiding the other guests and lead him straight to Quatre; clearly, nobody else at this party had identified him as Sandrock. It would probably not be good if she were found out talking to him in the first place; it was not as if Ruka had many acquaintances or friends here.
"I'm sure everything will be much better, soon. It was very... I'm glad I was able to talk to you," she said, finally settling on her words. "I should probably head back before-- before my guardian starts to worry about me."
We really have. O_o Ah, another short tag.
Uhhhhhh //whoops//? And holy crap this thread is actually resolving?!
She hoped she was doing the right thing, trusting Quatre like this.
"Me, too," she said. "And I hope you enjoy the rest of the party."
Feeling that there was nothing more to say, and that all these stressful interactions and the late hour were getting to her, Ruka made to depart.
