Who: Xanatos and Kenzi
Where: An Italian restaurant
When: A day after Kenzi's first post, at 7 pmish.
Warnings: None, will add if needed
Summary: Xanatos takes Kenzi out to dinner in exchange for information about her world.
Xanatos was waiting in the lobby of the restaurant. He was wearing the same blue suit that he usually wore and he checked his watch idly. He had already gotten a table for himself and Kenzi and was waiting for her to show up.
He wanted to learn more about her and about her world. He had dealt with magic, gargoyles, the fair folk, things like that. He knew that his experience couldn't be unique-this place had too many people with too many different stories. And he wanted to know Kenzi's. Xanatos had gotten used to a mildly comfortable position interacting with the supernatural back home: he wanted to have it here. And for that, he needed as much information as possible.
He looked out of the front window, waiting for Kenzi to arrive.

At barely a minuet past seven Kenzi entered through the front doors and looked around. Her hair was pulled back in twin puffed up braids, that really only served to make her look even younger than her twenty-two years. She'd found a new shirt and vest to wear but otherwise her outfit was the same. Something she loathed.
As she looked around the restaurant she realized she had no idea what this guy looked like and she never did get a name. Hopefully he was already there since he, at least, would recognize her.

She gave him a quick look over once she was done talking. He wasn't bad looking and he wasn't coming off like a complete creeper but that didn't mean she wasn't going to watch him closely during the meal.

"How have you liked the City so far?"
no subject
She gave a lazy one shouldered shrug. "It's a city. I've only been here a day so I haven't had a chance to get a full impression of it yet. I'm...sure that'll change."

He looked through the wine list, frowning slightly. "Care for a drink before we order?"

She smiled as she picked up a menu and gave a nod. "Wine would be lovely."

"So, does the information come before or after the dinner?"
no subject
"I suppose I could give you a little info now." She grinned widely across the table at him before picking up her menu. "Ask a question and I'll answer. Maybe." She said as she scanned over the menu.

She continued to look over the menu as she spoke. She wasn't sure what she was going to pick everything looked so good.

Starting a new thread because geeez
"I don't really know that much about Under Fae. We've only had a few encounters with them. Which is a good thing."
She took another sip of wine and cleared her throat. "Under Fae are basically monsters. I haven't see any that closely resemble humans. Well, there are some that do but they always have features that set them apart. Like maybe their giants compared to the average human. Or they have a mouth full of really sharp teeth and a tongue like a lizard. Or they have freaky eyes. Or their skin is scaly or something."
She shoveled in a couple more bites of food.
"I think most of them have forms like uh...golems or here was that spider one." She shuddered. "I think for the most part their wild...er, feral. They don't seem to be on either the Light or Dark side. They just hunt."

Of course, that didn't mean anything. He was going to still continue and meddle with the supernatural.
"How do they survive? At least, I assume they don't make much contact with the rest of humanity."

She finished off the rest of her food before continuing. "I guess they might lure humans to their lairs so they don't have to risk venturing out and being killed. I mean...even the rest of the Fae fear and kill these things. Although I think they're fear might be of exposure if one of these Under Fae goes wild on the human population."

"And it was your job to stop it." He chuckled slightly, shaking his head. "I never would have pegged you for a supernatural detective."

"From what I gathered they were a race of being that predate the Fae. They fed off the hatred and anger of the Fae. And long story short when the Fae war was put to an by magical means rather than natural the Garuda were left with very little to feed on and I guess most of them starved to death. But some recent events brought the Garuda back to the surface with the goal to start another war that could likely bring about the end of both human and Fae life."

"What would happen if humans learned about the Fae?"
no subject
In response to his question she shrugged. "The Fae think it'd be the end of everything. All out war between humanity and Fae-kind." Kenzi could understand that line of thinking. Not all humans were as accepting of the things they didn't understand. Most humans would see the Fae as strange incredible powerful beings and therefore a threat that needed to be wiped out.

"I guess, what the world needs is more adaptable people-like you."
