Mission of International Importance!
WHO: The Doctor, James Bond as the Companion, and Zatanna as the Chaperon!
WHERE: Buckingham Palace
WHEN: Friday Evening GMT
WARNINGS: nada
SUMMARY: Two of England's national treasures are off to have a conversation with Her Majesty Queen
FORMAT: whatever
An ImBargo Act? In England!? The very idea was laughable until, of course, it turned out to be quite real. Oh the words ol' Liz had started to say over the phone. George would have been appalled! One good thing was it seemed that she was on the side of the ImPorts, or at least on the side of the Doctor. What this act of Navtivism called for was a serious discussion with the Head of State and who better to join him than good old James Bond?
The TARDIS landed at Bond's front door with it's signature sound (yes, he quite enjoyed having the girl around again) and the Doctor pulled the door open so that he could knock on Bond's door. There were plenty of planets that had forbidden the Doctor from popping up, but not one of them had ever succeeded in keeping him away, and this Vulcanus certainly wouldn't be the first!

He'd got Zee over the second he'd agreed a visit with the Doctor, and now smiled over at her with something that miiiight just be nervousness as he hears a knock on the door. Holy shit, he gets to go in the TARDIS and meet with the Queen again. Best night ever, even if it was coming off the back of something awful.
"Ready?" He questions quietly before swinging the door open to the Doctor and offering a vague nod of greeting, nicely decked out in a super smart looking suit. "Doctor."

"Oh, your dressed nice." Not that she normally was horrible looking. NOT that he noticed. Ugh, why did young women insist on dressing sans proper trousers!?

"Hello." She beams until he continues, an eyebrow shooting up and a hand finding its way to her hip. "Thanks, I appreciate the compliment." She doesn't sound particularly pleased.

"You really must show us around the TARDIS." Yup, noticing that tone from Zatanna, James cuts in to usher the Doctor away from his home and off towards the phone box before more can be said. See, Zee, he has your best interests at heart.

With a smile threatening to break his face, the Doctor bows slightly. "Ladies first?"

"Not bad, Doc."
no subject
"Not bad at all," he reiterates, moving towards the console and reaching to poke things because that's what he does.

Without looking he flips a few switches and that familiar sound starts up as the TARDIS dematerializes. Only a few seconds later they're landing and the Doctor is flipping more switches still grumbling about Bond's lack of awe. It only takes a moment for him to finish his scans before he's jumping back and heading to the door. "Let's see if this is 'Not bad.'"
The door opened to reveal an overly decorated and yet somehow familiar study. "Liz? Liz, you about? I want to introduce you to two friends, but don't be surprised if they're not impressed with your fancy new hat."
guysssss skip me if i don't reply in 24 hours? :(
It's a good thing that he starts up the TARDIS as it makes for a good distraction. Zatanna would never admit to it, but the initial start-up did leave her stomach feeling a bit gurgly, despite it being very similar to teleportation in feel (maybe it was just fangirlish glee, then?). She shuffles beside James and loops her arm around his to steady herself. She'll hover around the Doctor on the trip back.
She takes a deep breath and heads on out with a sunny grin.
but then i take forever to reply too
By the time they've arrived moments later, James is busying himself with straightening his tie and trying to make himself look as presentable as possible in front of yet another one of his idols: the Queen.
Good ol' Queenie has been doing a rather good job of hosting this little party, socialising and showing interest in people and whatever else she does at these gatherings, but even she's allowed some alone time to retreat to the study as the evening draws in. Oddly she's not surprised by the appearance of a phone box in the room, nor is she fazed by the Doctor wandering out with two friends.
James, on the other hand, is practically standing to attention, chest out and chin up, although at least offering an arm out for Zee to take so he can remain looking a total gentleman.
god the three of us are like slow old men
His entire body is buzzing with excitement, which really isn't anything new. There's something about traveling with Companions, no matter how temporary, that gets his hearts pumping over time. This dimension limited in ways he didn't like to think about, but this little trip was bring back that old feeling. Even the TARDIS was buzzing. He briefly wondered if it would be bad form to take Liz up to the moon while she was entertaining guests.
why didn't you skip me :(
She allows herself to be introduced and offers a small bow and pleasant, warm smile. She won't say anything unless addressed. It's different than meeting the president and performing for him or his kids. This isn't her turf and this is more business than pleasure. If anyone was going to get anywhere this evening about this whole anti-imPort whatever it would be James and the Doctor. Two charming, good-looking guys? Easy-peasy.
