WHO: ROSE
nitidus & CHARLIE
foreverbouncing
WHERE: XAVIER'S INSTITUTE.
WHEN: Early afternoon on the 17th!
WARNINGS:SUMMARY: Charlie shows Rose around Xavier's.
FORMAT: Paragraph.
The last time Rose attended school, she was thirteen and spring had been just settling in. She hasn't thought about school in over a year. Even when she had played SBURB and everything had promptly gone to shit, it had been the furthest thing from her mind. Now, with the opportunity in front of her, Rose found herself surprisingly excited. Even more so with the chance to actually step inside the building and look around.
It was certainly weird, but Rose supposed that given her circumstances, missing school was the least weird thing about her.
She never thought she'd ever miss school. There was a first time for everything, she supposed. She has wondered if there is a way to repay Charlie for taking the time out to give a tour. Coffee, maybe - she wasn't sure. For now, she was dressed plainly in a skirt, tee-shirt and cardigan and fighting the urge to ask a million questions.
Is there a uniform? What is gym like? Is there a chess club? A literature club? Bursting with questions, Rose resigned herself to smiling pleasantly.

She was wearing a black skirt and a blue blouse, trying to look about as 'professional' as she ever managed, since she had volunteered to show off the Import school to the new girl. And sneakers, of course. Bright red ones. When she spotted Rose she grinned, waving a hand at her.
"Hey! Sorry, I kinda lost track of time. You ready?"
no subject
"Yes."
She paused, and then -- "it's quite impressive, isn't it?"
no subject
She almost looked sheepish. Almost. "When I first got here and Babs said I had to go to school, I snuck in to look around. Got in a fight with a teacher, almost got shot by the principle, and met a whole buncha other teleporters. It was pretty crazy."

Rose wondered if perhaps Charlie was simply just a trouble magnet.
"And I have to ask: what could possibly be in the basement that would require soldiers?"
no subject
"And yeah, it can get pretty crazy. I mean, not all the time." She started down the hallway once the door was closed. "Like, history class is never exciting. Ever. But there's martial arts training, Scatty is really intense in that, and sometimes people attack the school...that counts right?"
Being kind of impossible to kill had left Charlie with a somewhat skewed sense of adventure.

She tried to wrap her head around Sherlock Holemes. Sometimes, this city was too bizarre even for Rose to comprehend it. Sherlock Holmes. She was tempted to ask what he taught specifically. She had a few guesses.
"Is it attacked regularly?"
Priorities.

She shrugged and grinned. "I guess 'cause it's a big import place so it's a target. But there's usually imports around too, so the super types tend to keep the place safe, you know?"
no subject
'Super types'. Rose suspected that was something of a general term here in this city given how many people seemed to mysteriously have some kind of super power. "Where are we starting first?"
The institute is pretty undefinied, location-wise.
"And the cafeteria is down there." She finished. "So, whatcha want to see?"
sweet!
The training room could wait. Right now Rose could judge the size and quantity of the library in the meantime.
