WHO: NORMAN OSBORN and CURT CONNORS
WHERE: An office in Oscorp
WHEN: Friday afternoon
WARNINGS: Probably nothing?
SUMMARY: Curt Connors interviews for a job.
FORMAT: Quick? Whatever!
[ While Norman had rarely paid much attention to Connors aside from tangentially, but there was an opportunity here that he would be fool to ignore. Connors was undoubtedly a smart man no matter where or when he was from, also one with dangerous potential -- Norman didn't mind at all letting him work somewhere Norman could keep an eye on.
He had cleared his afternoon schedule and directed security, as well as his receptionist, which office to send Connors to when he arrived. Norman sat, and waited. ]

He knocked on the door, pushing it open it slightly.]
Mr. Osborn? Are you in?

[ Norman smiles at him, sitting at a medium-sized meeting table with a few empty seats surrounding. He stands, so that he can meet Connors halfway and offer his hand out. ]
no subject
I managed to find your building rather easily. You were right-it is noticeable.

[ Norman retakes his seat, watching Connors carefully, though still smiling. ]
Now, let's get started.
no subject
Well, how shall we get started?

[he pauses for a moment there. somebody's got issues with his arm.]
However, I'm sure that there are others in the city who already have the power to heal others, which might make my work useless. With that in mind, I've also taken an interest in a cause unique to the City: our superpowers. The only two common factors between all imports are our superpowers and the fact that we arrived in the Porter. I believe that the Porter somehow changed rewrote our bodies at the genetic level to receive those superpowers. If the cause is found out, maybe the line between 'import' and 'normal citizen' could be blurred.

[ Norman strokes his chin thoughtfully, smirking. ]
I don't believe any extensive research has been done in researching the genetic differences between native and Import, and anything that may have been started has presumably since been abandoned; I've heard nothing on any findings or any progress. That could be your new playground.
Of course, I wouldn't say you should give up on your other work just yet. Healing powers and regrowing limbs don't always go hand in hand.
no subject
I can always go back to one when I'm stuck on the other. Swap between the two, essentially.
no subject
You could. If you had a lab to yourself, you'd certainly have plenty of room for more than one project.
no subject
I'd certainly enjoy that. At the least, if I had a lab to myself, then there's a less likely chance of the DNA getting mixed up. I'd hate to be looking for genetically altered DNA in lizards.
[There's a small chuckle. That was a joke.]
no subject
If you worked here, I think getting you a lab to yourself would be more than possible. I have a few unoccupied, at present, and you sound like you could the space.

[He asks, slightly eager about this.]

[Connors shrugs slightly.] Of course, I don't expect my previous job at home to push you to hire me.
no subject
[ He pauses, carefully. ]
I think you could accomplish great things.

[lol no]

Unfortunate. I'm sure one way or the other you'll have the opportunity to see your work completed... given time and opportunity, of course. Luckily there's plenty of both around.
I think I would like to offer you a job, officially. How soon could you start?

I don't know how much I can thank you for this.

[ Norman walks with him, adjusting his tie as he moves. ]
And I hope you're adjusting well to the City so far.

[Connors chuckles, shaking his head. Spider-Man is totally a rumor and totally false and not real at all, right? Right.]

[ Norman raises his eyebrow and smirks. ]
Well, I hope the adjustment isn't too much stress for you. You'll have to let me know if you'll be needing anything.
