WHO: Jack Harkness (
comesback) and YOU!
WHERE: Anywhere around the City, feel free to let me know.
WHEN: Sometime Saturday.
WARNINGS: Jack is his own warning.
SUMMARY: Jack wanders, keeps an eye on things, and hits on people. ...And wanders some more.
FORMAT: Words? No, really, whatever, I'm just starting with actionspam.
[The City has gotten much duller, lately, with the departure of Sherlock, then Lestrade, and now Jim. Jim, who the Doctor had asked him to keep an eye on. So he had, but then he left, and all that interesting vague spy-work that he'd gotten almost used to doing again was gone. So he has taken to walking, keeping an eye on things around the City when he can, sometimes driving. It's important to be knowledgeable about potential threats, even in a city as big as this one. (Sometimes, he felt, it was much easier to do this in Cardiff. But there, he'd had a team and computers and a base. Here, it was much more difficult.) So this morning, he is walking, hands in his coat pockets and looking as innocent as you please, just ignore the fact that he looks like he's stepped right out of World War 2.
Later in the day, he's holed up in one of his favorite bars. In the evenings, they have swing-dancing and dinners. He has been known to take more than a few dates there. Tonight, however, he's willing enough to be available and flirtatious -- what, he's bored. So here he sits at the bar, a martini in hand and lounging most attractively. Feel free to say hello.
Still later, for those who are more nocturnally inclined -- Jack has never slept much since his arrival in the City. Tonight is no exception, mostly because he's managed to sneak out of whoever he's spent the night with's flat and is heading home. Danger? Pff. He doesn't care, he has his gun and his bravado, he's pretty certain he'll be alright. He might, also, be taking the opportunity to stand atop some tall buildings and look dramatic. (So sue him, if he likes the way his coat flaps in the wind.) Sometimes he likes getting a better vantage point than from the streets.
