nothing suits me like a suit

WHO: Ladd ([personal profile] sanguinosi) and Oswald ([personal profile] motherflocker)
WHERE: At a classy tailor's, somewhere in the City.
WHEN: Afternoon of the 23rd.
WARNINGS: Ladd will be creepy.
SUMMARY: After their fun experience travelling up from Antarctica together a while back, two amazing friends bump into each other whilst looking for new suits.
FORMAT: Action to start, whatever afterwards!

[With a new job on the horizon, the promise of more cash had begun to fire up in Ladd's mind. After a few months of relatively low income, Ladd felt it was about time that he got some more money in his wallet. With that prospect arriving, he felt it was about time to invest in something that really mattered.

He needed a new suit. And that's why he's sitting on a chair in a vest, his underwear, and some socks, waiting for his measurement to begin. Let's just hope no one else walks in!!]

[ Except someone did walk in, and that person would (awkwardly) know that pair of bare legs in underwear thanks to a terrible detour in Antarctica. He had come in because a new suit was in order, and only the best would do for the prospect of hobnobbing with the richest and wealthiest int he City, and getting the opportunity to hear some of their secrets.

But what did one say to the person they'd literally only shared a trip hiking back to the City from Antarctica in their underwear?
]

Ah, I see you've only made minor changes to your wardrobe since the last time we met.

[ He said it once there was nobody else in the room, waiting for his own tailor, although he was impeccably dressed for the moment. ]

No, I think it adds just that perfect something. Dressing up whilst still... [ He doesn't look down, but there's a moment where he tips his head. If it had been a woman, he most certainly would have, but he had no interest in giving him a once over. Ew.]

Dressing down. Although I hadn't expected you to be the sort who visited a tailor.

Indeed we didn't. [ His tone soured, and he gave the man something of an annoyed glance through his monocle-covered eye. He lightly tapped the umbrella he'd walked in with against his shoulder, Percival always just the command away from ready to attack. ]

Of course, it's very difficult to look good in the snow, freezing to death, now is it?

Well, you can hardly rush art, can you? I would rather wait for the perfect suit than rush it and have something sub-par.

[ Of course, if it wasn't completed in what was his time standards, there would be hell to play. He was hardly as patient as he sold himself as. ]

If one were to use powers to create suits, I do believe there would be something that ruined it.

He's exceeds my every expectation every time. [ And from Oswald, that really was high praise. The man did not like being crossed, and it took a very specific sort of person to not only meet his standards, but also exceed them, and put up with his occasionally ridiculous demands. Such as a perfectly tailored tuxedo by next week, which was a very tall order, but he'd agreed to it. ]

I think you'll find that his work is worth every penny.
motherflocker: (Must you?)

[ Intended or not, Oswald does not suffer insults well. In fact, his expression falters for a moment, his pleased smile souring for a moment, before he coughed, before making a motion to remove his jacket. He'd been waiting long enough, the tailor should be coming out for him soon enough. ]

Yes, indeed. Certainly if you want to look professional now and then.
