Entry tags:
nothing suits me like a suit
WHO: Ladd (
sanguinosi) and Oswald (
motherflocker)
WHERE: At a classy tailor's, somewhere in the City.
WHEN: Afternoon of the 23rd.
WARNINGS: Ladd will be creepy.
SUMMARY: After their fun experience travelling up from Antarctica together a while back, two amazing friends bump into each other whilst looking for new suits.
FORMAT: Action to start, whatever afterwards!
[With a new job on the horizon, the promise of more cash had begun to fire up in Ladd's mind. After a few months of relatively low income, Ladd felt it was about time that he got some more money in his wallet. With that prospect arriving, he felt it was about time to invest in something that really mattered.
He needed a new suit. And that's why he's sitting on a chair in a vest, his underwear, and some socks, waiting for his measurement to begin. Let's just hope no one else walks in!!]

But what did one say to the person they'd literally only shared a trip hiking back to the City from Antarctica in their underwear? ]
Ah, I see you've only made minor changes to your wardrobe since the last time we met.
[ He said it once there was nobody else in the room, waiting for his own tailor, although he was impeccably dressed for the moment. ]

You like it? I don't know if the vest is too much, really.
[He's not getting up from the chair, but he sits up straight to show he's at least paying attention. After all, there wasn't anything else to do as he sat around like a chump.]
no subject
Dressing down. Although I hadn't expected you to be the sort who visited a tailor.

[He crosses one leg and lays it over the other, giving himself a little more dignity. Not that he really cares in the first place.]
See, I'm from the sort of time that expected a little class in your everyday wear. And call me old fashioned, but suits just make a man look a hell of a lot better, you see? Though, not in all cases!
[He laughs a little at that, clearly a bit amused by his own joke.]
Just kidding of course! You look a hell of a lot better than I remember you looking in Antarctica. Course, I doubt many of us looked our best that day!

Of course, it's very difficult to look good in the snow, freezing to death, now is it?

[He's certainly giving that umbrella a cautious watch, recalling an incident in Antarctica involving umbrellas and birds. He's not expecting an attack, especially not from this guy, but there's no such thing as too careful.]
It's just a shame there ain't more super tailors around here. You've got to wait a while before anything gets done in this place, which I'm just figuring out now.

[ Of course, if it wasn't completed in what was his time standards, there would be hell to play. He was hardly as patient as he sold himself as. ]
If one were to use powers to create suits, I do believe there would be something that ruined it.
no subject
[Of course, Ladd doesn't mind the price at all, but he also doesn't mind killing a tailor who annoys him a little too much. He's perfectly content to wait a little longer out here anyway.]
no subject
I think you'll find that his work is worth every penny.

[If the insult is intended or not, it is pretty hard to tell considering the same smile is plastered over his face.]
no subject
Yes, indeed. Certainly if you want to look professional now and then.

[He laughs again at this. If Oswald was feeling uncomfortable, he's either not noticing or just ignoring it completely.]
