This will end well
WHO: Calvin and Franklin
WHERE: Xavier's Institute
WHEN: Monday morning
WARNINGS: None
SUMMARY: Franklin is new at school and someone decided he could use a more experienced student as a 'role model' for guidance, which is a good idea. Then they made that role model, Calvin, which is a horrible idea.
FORMAT: Paragraph
"This is a travesty! I'm a big important person with big important plans that can't be delayed by lesser minds. Whose dumb idea was this, anyway? What a complete waste of time!"
Calvin was complaining loudly and to no one in particular as he stood with his jacket and backpack at Xavier's front entrance. It felt better than meekly accepting his terrible unjust fate, and he also had the idea that if he made himself unpleasant enough whatever dolt decided to assign this lousy job to him would come to their senses and let him off the hook. The fact that he'd had to show up to school early to make sure he had enough time to meet this kid was just the final, unacceptable injury.
"I'll bet this new kid is a complete bore, too," he grumbled. "I can see him now. He's probably going to be an absolute dullard. There's no other reason they would stick me with a new kid unless for the sheer sadism of watching a dimwit erode my spirit. Yeah, that must be it."
The kid continued in this vein as he waited. It was part of his other plan- even if the teachers didn't come to their senses, maybe if he acted grouchy enough the new kid would recognize his peril and just walk away.

In fact, he was getting so good that not only did he recognise the school from a safe distance, but he also had quick enough reactions to make a relatively graceful landing (instead of bowling over another bicycle or potted plant). He landed with only a little stumbling just inside the front gates, and looked around.
Only one person ... that must be his 'role model'. Hmm ... kid looked short. Franklin walked the last few meters and his frown deepened. Kid was short.
"...are you five?!"

Well, they were off to a great start already. Calvin might have been momentarily impressed by the flying, but any chance of that was pretty much dead now.
"I'm six! Six! I'm not even that short!" Franklin maaaaaay have touched a bit of a nerve there. "Now get lost. I'm supposed to be waiting for some dumb new kid I'm supposed to tutor or something." Because this jerk couldn't be the new kid. The world wasn't allowed to be that unfair.

Calvin, that's how short you are.
"Oh, Galactus," Franklin sighed, staring up at the sky, both hands gripping his backpack straps now. "My tutor is half my age and size." He frowned back at the kid. "I'm not dumb. My dad's the smartest guy on Earth, y'know."

"Yeah, well you must take after your Mom a lot then," he snapped. "You're seriously who I'm supposed to waste all day with? What should I call you- the Amazing Dead Weight Lad?" Of course it had to be a big kid. That was just the way this day was going to go apparently.
