You will have to grow up, be an adult, be bored and unfulfilled
WHO: April Ludgate and Felicia the Mini
WHERE: Random locations in the City
WHEN: Backdated to Wednesday afternoon/eveningish
WARNINGS: No?
SUMMARY: April is assigned babysitting duty. How Eddie thought this was a good plan remains one of life's mysteries.
FORMAT: Para then whatever
Directions. That was what April could have asked for more of. But it was too late now. After all, her cellphone was all the way in her bottom of her purse. Just too far to make it worth it. So, after a few minutes of wandering around, instead she scribbled a few words out on the back of a street flyer she’d torn down and took her place on the corner of a street near to where she thought Felicia was supposed to be waiting for her. In proud, lipstick purple letters, the sign April held up in front of her read:
LADY BOSS
Now it was just a matter of waiting. Or actually breaking down and sitting in some coffee shop to dig out her comm to call the ‘kid.’ God willing it would never come to that.

"April? That's you, right?"

She lowered the sign with her classic, unimpressed look firmly in place. For good reason this time. A few whole minutes in the sun. God.
"Where's mine?"
no subject
"Want one? I can get it for you."
no subject
"Bribe accepted."
no subject
Minutes later, she bounced out quickly, popsicles in her free hand, and ran over to April.
"Here you go."
no subject
"So. What is this exactly. Did the universe just take away your chest in punishment or something or is this a flashback thing."
no subject
"I don't really know. Punishment for what would be the real question -- I haven't done a thing."
no subject
A contemplative bite...and then, charging forward in the conversation without worrying about talking with food in her mouth.
"Arcade."
no subject
"I hope you're not expected back soon. I just don't see that happening."
no subject
A shrug as she finally swallows.
"I'm gonna tell him you seduced me or something."
no subject
Felicia smiled innocently as she leaned against the car, fiddling idly with the lock.
"So are we walking or driving? I think there's an arcade a few blocks that way."
no subject
"Mm. That sounds really far. And I need some more quarters."
no subject
"I'll share mine. I found some while I was waiting. Really, why be in this part of town at all if you can't enjoy it a little?"
no subject
"Shooting zombie hoards is the smallest payment I'll take for standing in the sun. I think I heard a small child laugh in joy at one point. Horrible."
no subject
She's settled into the passenger seat, mostly because she can't see over the steering wheel that well.
"I think I have enough to get us through the afternoon."
no subject
Fine then. Here's hoping she's ready to hot wire it, because other than looking amazing behind the wheel, April's at a loss there.
"And awesome. It's not like he can ground me."
no subject
"He can't ground me either. He doesn't any authority over me, as much as he might like to pretend he does. Especially if he's sending his employees over to babysit."
no subject
And, good. Now April can get them driving to that arcade of legend and then illegally double park them with no worries.
no subject
Luckily they're only taking it a few blocks away; though it won't matter regardless if the car gets towed. Felicia surveys the area through the car window, deciding if there's anything else nearby worth doing after they play video games.
no subject
"Then I'm filing me winning a giant stuffed panda under work expenses. Come on. I've got a lot of skee ball to clock."
no subject
"If you run out just let me know. I can always find more."
no subject
Not that the arcade isn't the point. But if she can blow coins on the non-ticket games like Space Time Zombie Hunter or Punch Them In The Face 15, then all the better.
no subject
Smiling, Felicia counts how many she has, and gives April a couple more.
"Or we could always do both if it comes down to it."
no subject
Zombies it is.

For all the gun talk, April zones immediately in on the racing game. The one with five stations all paired up.
"Oh, my. As a female I've never seen one of these before. I hope some kind of gambling isn't involved when racing others."

April didn't so much drop her voice as not speak in a false high for that one comment as she slipped into the seat.
"Now let's drive into some fence posts."

She almost said 'pay for the wine,' but April had the distinct impression nothing would be paid for at all today.
