WHO: the emperor (
solidorkable) and you!
WHERE: the institute & city hall ; various places! check comment headings for locations.
WHEN: today
WARNINGS: none, yet
SUMMARY: larsa goes to school, and is for once, behaving like a teenager.
FORMAT: quick to start, then tagger's choice!
[Bad username or unknown identity: smells like teen spirit]
(Everything is terrible and he hates everyone. April makes it out to be as simple as that, that if he just takes it out on everyone else, it should be fine, he'll feel fine. Sadly, Larsa is not that kind of person; he gets up, gets ready and goes to school like he would normally do. He doesn't say much, he isn't even that active in class as he should be.
But, he's there, he's being a teenager for once. Cup of tea? No, this morning he has a poptart that got from the vending machine. Paying attention in class? No, that window is really interesting. Biology? Argh, who cares.
Work? Work is just as bad. He doesn't greet the protestors, doesn't ask what they want - at first. Within five minutes, he's back to see if they're alright or if they require any assistance:
"How do you feel working for a robot?"
"Should the mayor be not human, I would fear he is a very inefficient one."
"Imports are taking our jobs!"
"An issue for the Porter, rather than I, I fear."
"There are raccoons stealing our food!"
"Miss April Ludgate will be able to answer that question."
Maybe nothing has changed.)

INSTITUTE ; BEFORE CLASS

Needless to say one of his textbooks goes flying out of his back and it takes him a few seconds to come to a screeching, mid-air stop as it lands with a very loud thud in the middle of the hall. ]
Oh! Dammit.
no subject
Worry not, I will assist you.
(He puts his own books down next to him before he starts gathering the contents of John's backpack.)
no subject
He also didn't expect it being offered like that. John's pretty sure he's never actually heard anyone talk like that outside of a movie.
There's no time to question it though. John's too busy pulling his backpack open further so it's easier to cram everything back into it, and dropping it on the ground before jogging over to the textbook that fell a few feet back. ]
Thanks, buddy!

Did anything else fall out?
no subject
John walks back over with his textbook and just drops it into his bag without worrying too much about keeping it neat. ]
Besides the books and stuff? I don't think so. Unless something dropped out of it awhile back, but I think it's kind of late to worry about that.

You've never seen anyone so excited to learn about different taxonomy for marine animals in your life, one might wager.*

CITY HALL

April has a strict Do Not Respond to protestors- or does now, ever since the near Taco Shooting debacle of October '12. To put it simply, the less she dealt with them, the less likely City Hall was to have law suits. She stuck to anon trolling their forums, instead. Still, all that didn't mean she didn't see Larsa and the other interns dealing with them. Enough that she could throw out sarcastic commentary from the safety of sitting at her desk, typing away on her computer.

Larsa retorts in an almost neutral one, despite the fact that he is absolutely sick of that question. He's even had to carry one away, despite showing it the affections that he usually does. But, in a very odd turn of events, he has actually told them all different locations as to wear April sits. The more work that they can get done, the better.
Excuse me, is this where April Ludgate is?
"Down the hall and to the left, the first door you see is her office." Larsa says, not looking up from the recent imPort polls. Though, he is leading them to a back exit.

"I should put Terry in a wig and tell them he's me. I owe him from the last time he blew himself up. He wears enough make-up for it, anyway."

Larsa was just in such a bad mood that he couldn't even entertain the notion of entertaining April. He just paid more attention to his work, being even extra attentive that he even ignored a phone call coming in.

He had things he had to do. He really did. But even mayors needed to take breaks. If even just to grab the coffee they so desperately needed before they pass out from sleep deprivation.
And that's how he passes Larsa, looking him over for just a moment before he stops close by. ]
Come on, walk with me.

Larsa hadn't slept, but he was used to it. He just wasn't so used to being emotionally exhausted.)
Is there something that I can do?
no subject
[ He keeps walking, taking in small details. He and Larsa had already spoken about some things, but he wasn't going to push him on anything. He knew how heavy the head was that wore the crown, and even though Larsa was a kid, he was also an emperor, and sometimes even though he didn't think about it too much, well. There were reminders occasionally.
Or he had to remind himself. The projects, of course, were going to serve as a distraction. It was the least that he could do. ]

(Larsa is glad that he has much to distract him from everything. He found himself staring at a small family while he was eating his lunch (that he had to make himself again) and drinking his cup of tea. His shoulders that were drooping slightly straightened up as if awoken by the promise of work.)
