all the boys who the dance floor didn't love
WHO: General Nill, General Damian, & everybody who signed up or just wants to come.
WHERE: Central Park.
WHEN: 7 December, 10 AM - sometime Saturday or Sunday.
WARNINGS: WHO KNOWS.
SUMMARY: Damian told Nill she wasn't prepared for war, and she's determined to show him differently.
FORMAT: Quick to start, but do whateva you want.

[The field is huge, without cover, and blanketed in snow. To anyone passing by before ten in the morning, it looks serene and beautiful. But as soon as the clock strikes that special hour, two imports with something to prove take to the field to shake hands and wish each other the best. In what?
Snow war.
Pick your side or make your own side, take prisoners or show no mercy; this is more or less a free-for-all. Who will be victorious? Nobody has a clue. As long as Damian gets whapped in the face by at least one snowball, everything will end up just fine.
Team suggestions are just that: suggestions. If you want your character to defect, start their own team, etc. please feel free! And start any new thread headers you want, these were just some Hallie suggested. Have fun!]

But the thing that has her attention right now is the flag they're flying. Too closely resembles other things entirely. "While the general construction is worthy of admiration, I think the flag send a conflicting message to the warning above the entrance. Doom would be more appropriate."

The point is currently occupying the stratosphere above Calvin's head.

She moves a hand to her chin. "What inspired the yellow?"
no subject
"Symbolism? Do people think of hope when they think of wings where you're from?"
no subject
"But it isn't necessarily an association native to my planet, simply...the circumstances which surrounded us. An image not at all dissimilar to that one is emblematic of a Hero of Hope." Or villain, as may also happen. "Each aspect modifies the expression of one's class, just as one's class would modify the very expression of that aspect. Mine was Space." She opens a portal and steps out on the ledge of the wall in front of him, curiously not having much trouble keeping her balance on it. "It would have been represented by a white spiral with six prongs against a black field." And she curls a finger in the air six times from one central point to illustrate.

"Maybe I should have made a flag for you, then. Spirals always make automatically cool flags." He and Hobbes made so many flags together back home. It was in their club charter. Despite Kanaya's verbosity, Calvin doesn't seem to be having any trouble keeping up with her.

"But you didn't really think I looked human, did y--" Her thought is interrupted by a snowball flying at her. Guess that's what happens when you stand on the outer wall while wearing bright colors. She's quick enough to catch it, but the momentum leaves her slipping down onto the platform next to Calvin. "Oof!"
no subject
"Who threw that? We're having an important flag talk here!" He sends a flurry of snowballs back in the attacker's general direction. He had just been about to say that he might make her a flag regardless of rank, to see how it turned out.

Their opponents release a volley of their own, so Kanaya pulls open a portal to catch them, shooting them out in the other direction.

He throws one more snowball, then turns to Kanaya. "Listen, I need to go scout out the opposing base later. From what I've seen, it's almost as good as mine. Not as good obviously, but we need more information. Can you stay here and keep this place safe?"
Calvin pauses, realizes he's forgotten something. "Oh, and I'm Calvin."

She peeks up over the wall, seeing if she can get a good vantage point on the enemy fort, then looks back at Calvin. "Would you like a shortcut? I could deposit you right along their outer wall."
no subject
He pauses to zip open his backpack and scoop some more snowballs into it from the pile, then zip it back up. "All right Kanaya, I'm ready to go whenever you are."

She pulls at the air, bright green threads appearing in her hands as she does, an opening in space itself appearing at the end, with the white expanse of the park's snow through it. As she crosses and weaves the threads, the opening skews and changes until it's parallel with the floor of their platform and small enough the other end shouldn't be too noticeable.
On the other side is the outer edge of the enemy fort, but at a safe distance of about ten feet. She'd hate to drop him right in the middle of a firefight. The angle's about 90 degrees off from his entry point, so gravity and direction physics may have a few protests once he steps through. She decides to warn him about that with a simple "Watch your step," but afterwards will worry that might have been too obtuse.
"And good luck, of course."
