[ john receives the message loud and clear. his eyes would have found their way back up to her face... eventually. the reminder was certainly appreciated and he wets his lips. ]

Uhm, yeah. I went to see them not long after we spoke. [ he flashes her a smile. ] Cheers for that, by the way. It's nice to finally meet you in person.

[ "Yeah, he's an import too." Bradbury perks up, even as he settles back down on all fours.

"He knows, uh, magic or something." Saying the word still made him cringe in animal form, but well, what else was he supposed to do? Magic was real around here, whether he liked it or not.

"Maybe he can help out. For now..." He trailed off, looking at the rest of the transformed imports in the water and baring his teeth.

"I'm gonna see if I can sort any of this out." ]

[ "As a polar bear? That'll turn a few heads." Ugh, come to think of it, Bradbury's last run-in with a polar bear? Pretty fucking shitty, and the memory makes him almost wonder if Pherson's behind this.

...Nah. If he was, the guy would've shown up to gloat by now.

"She didn't jump in, did she?" His head turns to the shore, squinting like Zatanna might magically appear if he tries hard enough to see her. ]

[ A warehouse? Well, it was a decent plan, but did Bradbury really want to spend however long this was going to last stuck with a bunch of likely pissy imPorts-turned-animals who might be inclined to blame him for their plight?

Not damn likely.

"Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll be fine." An awkward pause, because he didn't want to seem ungrateful -- the offer was a good one. Just..

"I'll let the rest know it's on offer." Though from what he could see and hear, some of them were going to have a hard time leaving the water. ]

[Magic, huh? That's a promising clue. Kotetsu begins to pad over in Bight's direction, nodding over his shoulder at the big ol' bear. "You do that. I'm gonna see what this guy knows."]

[ normally, john would take this opportunity to reaffirm just how not gay he really is, but it's all goodhearted ribbing in the end and he takes it on the chin. ]

Oh, can't wait. But if it's all the same to you, I'll probably have my eyes on something else.
