WHO: Bight
dragonlordbight, open to other swimmers who were transformed and followed Bight and Tiger back.
WHERE: Bight/Crucibles warehouse.
WHEN: Just after the polar bear club incident.
WARNINGS: none as yet.
SUMMARY: Bight offers his warehouse as a place to stay for the night for Kotetsu and any other transformed swimmers who need a place to stay.
FORMAT: Prose to start then tagger's choice.
It had taken some time to sort through the chaos that was the Polar bear club incident, sorting out just who was who, translating where needed, but finally the chaos had subsided, at least long enough for him to lead Kotetsu, and any others who had chosen to follow back to his warehouse, set far enough away from the main roads that there would be few reports or worries about a tiger or any other animals prowling around and set close enough to the water that any water based animals or dragons who had a fondness for water could easily slip out without much worry.
The warehouse itself was a considerably large building, previously having been standing disused for many years, Bight had seen to neatening the place up. The main area a rather large and open space, a few assorted benches lining the walls with various odds and ends, tools for use with his work in wards. Off to one side he had set a number of restored couches and cushions that he had acquired in the case that he ever had guests. For those of more keen of nose, another scent lingered in the air, not an unpleasant scent, but it had the hint that something quite clearly non-human had often been through.
"Welcome, it still needs some work here or there, but it has worked well for my needs thus far. It should do well for a place to keep from public eye for now should you wish it as well,"

It smelled weird. Not bad-weird, just weird. He wasn't used to having all these smells telling his brain about who might have been here and when and how. Not even bothering to try to pry the mask off his tigery face, he prowled over to the couches and jumped up, looking for a comfy spot to flop down like an oversized house cat. And that was exactly what he did, letting out a groan that was half-growl. You're a life-saver, he said, or made noises to say to Bight. I need a nap first, then I'll worry about what to do with the public eye.

Bight dipped his head to Kotetsu's comments, "It was the least I could do," casting a wry smile across to the tiger and the way he'd flopped down atop the couch, "Rest then, and we shall see about what to do about your change afterwards," he commented easily as he turned and strode over to one of the tables he'd set up across from the couches, looking over the various items he had been working on even as he pondered on just what could be done about the changed swimmers and what could have caused it.

His head came up, then, his eyes bright behind the mask. Do you know of any ways to switch us back, maybe?

"We don't get many tigers around Sanction, although when one has dealt with raging volcanoes, knights, dragons both friend and foe as well as a talkative owl, a talking to a tiger is hardly disconcerting," he commented with a wry grin, not to mention that he himself was a dragon.
His expression turning more thoughtful at the second question, "That I have still yet to determine, whatever the change is caused by, it is resistant to usual methods of dispelling or disruption, it would take more study to determine more,"

He huffed and rested his chin on the couch cushion, gazing plaintively at Bight. You're willing to try, though...so thanks. I don't see as how we've got a lot of choice either way. If it's somebody's powers, or something...it might wear off, it might not. Like when everybody got turned into kids...

He dipped his head at the tiger's thanks, "You are welcome, and so it would seem. There have been no other reports of others being transformed, just those involved with the swim, so it is unlikely that it was someone's powers, unless they left the scene promptly. In any case, most transformations and events seem to have a habit of being temporary..so we shall see,"

His eyes shifted back and forth, taking in the interior decorating (or lack thereof). He didn't know anything about this guy, who had just stepped in to help him out. Maybe, with a few growls and whuffs, he could ask. Sorry to hear that, though. I know the feeling. I'm the only one from my world here, as far as I can tell.

He let his gaze wander even as he let his thoughts drift on the two other dragons who had been here prior to him, Khisanth and the great gold Aurican, "It is likely better for the city that the black was returned, she had already caused a great deal of trouble from what I had gathered. I'm sorry to hear of your own loss. There is yet still one dragon from Krynn as well as fellow Lord Governor,"

He flopped back down and huffed. Thanks for the offer. I don't know, I might have to take you up on it whether I want to or not. It's a long way back to my apartment. Crap... That was a snarl. How am I going to explain this to my boss? The premiere is coming up! I can't still be a tiger when the show starts!
no subject
"You are welcome, though I am sure there would be a way to get you back to your apartment should you so wish it," he comments before raising an eyebrow, "Oh? Perhaps I could pass on a message, when is this premiere?"

He decided to not worry about it for a moment, and focus on the other topic at hand. Kang, that was it. Right. He was excited about his kids, so we talked about it for a while. Nice guy.

The lord Governor gave dip of his head as Kotetsu turned the topic back to the other from Krynn, a smile on his expression mixed with a strange emotion, "He had every reason to be excited, his very own family, not to mention hope for his kind, the first new generation of draconians," he comments before nodding in agreement.

He laid his head back down and rolled onto his side. So much for that nap. Chatting with someone while being a tiger was pretty fun. Kids will do that to anyone. Oh, am I glad my daughter isn't here to see this. She'd just think it was my fault that I got like this anyway. And I wouldn't want to put her in danger. He raised a paw and flicked his claws, looking at them. If he couldn't use his powers, at least he could still defend himself if someone attacked.

At that comment Bight gave an amused snort, though a strange almost sad look passed over his face briefly before returning to a smile as he shook his head, "Indeed, would certainly be something to explain. Best that none of my adopted children are here, they'd talk the ear off anyone,"

He gave a soft snort at that as gave a nod, "They are no ordinary children, but rather eight brass dragonets, three years old now and about as large each as you are now. Each as endlessly curious and as capable of talking the sun out of the sky as the next and practically inseparable. Ashfall, Caldera, Fumerole, Firestream,Sulfur, Smoke, Windstone and Eight,"

Only the tail-twitch showed he was still awake, though he watched Bight through half-closed eyes, curious.

"What of your own child?" he asked with a glance over his shoulder to the reclining tiger, noting his exhaustion though easily able to tell that the other was still awake as he turned to look through some of the items on the desk.

It occurred to him, then, that anything on his person when he transformed might not still be there, unlike the mask. He lifted his left paw and checked, and whuffed a big sigh of relief. His wedding ring was stuck around one of his claws. Walking back to the warehouse hadn't dislodged it. Seeing it left him wearily grateful, he didn't know what he would have done if he lost that.

At Kotetsu's actions he couldn't help but touch his own ring, he knew well how important one could find such objects and what they meant. His thoughts lingering on that for a time before shaking his head as he looked back the exhausted tiger. With the senses of a tiger he had little doubt that Kotetsu had picked up on the scents of the warehouse, but with the exhaustion that had taken the tiger it was likely that he had not yet put the two together.
"Rest for now, when you wake perhaps we will see if there is not something more that can be done about your form,"

By the time that the tiger likely awoke, Bight had turned his attention to creating a particular item, although it would likely longer to finish the enchantment, but a potentially useful one should the change draw out.
