[Harley is a late riser. She wakes at ten thirty in the morning and doesn't get dressed until forty-five minutes afterwards. Her initial exploration of the City has been: one shopping trip. Today she plans to do another.

Life is hard without money. Life is boring when you live on your own. Nevertheless, she is in good spirits. ]

She feels sort of bad for all this pausing. Sort of. Her guilt is dissuaded by reminding herself that it has been a long time since her internship.

She thinks on it. "Hmm. I guess so. I don't really got much else to do."

There's no need for her to feel guilty. Joe is terribly excited to have stumbled upon someone who can read sign, and he thinks today is going to be a Good Day.

"You never did tell me your name. I'm going to call you Blondie," he signs before offering her his arm.
