The night is here at last. Please make sure you're dressed as nicely as you're able, and take care to donate at the door if you're able -- it's not required, but it's all too a good cause. Upon entering the ballroom you'll see many tables laid out with white tablecloths and place settings; feel free can sit and order something, the restaurant is open until 11PM and the bar opens at 8PM. In the left corner is the table where at any given hour or half hour interval you can find someone signing autographs and photos for imPorts or natives alike. The schedule reads:

In the right corner is the auction set-up; at 8PM sharp the auctioneer will set up a ballot for silent bids to be placed, and announce the highest bids at 15 minute intervals. Good luck! It should be wrapped, like the signings, at 12 midnight. Have fun tonight, Cityzens, eat, drink, be merry, and bid until your desired option has been pried from your cold not-dead fingers. At 12:15 the WINNING BIDS will be announced.

[ He puts down the glass and leans over quickly to catch her in case. Although she doesn't fall, he still puts a hand on her shoulder to steady her. ]

[ He looks around the room. It can't be hard to spot the green man in the room, can it? ]

Where's your friend?

[wisecracked]

[She raises one arm and hooks it over Gil's.]

I dunno. [One would think it'd be hard to lose a giant of a man that also happens to be green but well, somehow it's possible.]

[ He looks at her arm, mildly confused. ]

I'll go look for him and maybe he'll take you home.

[wisecracked]

And leave me unattended? [You know how that'll end, Gil. She has no self control.]

[ His gaze shifts back to the crowd. Really, one green man?! ]

Can you walk?

[wisecracked]

Of course I can walk. [She looks offended that he would doubt her ability to function while inebriated.]

[invoking]

[ He only returns a look of skepticism; she stumbled just before and was going on a drunken tirade.

But he allows her to hold on. He won't move too fast. ]

Was he bidding on anything?

[wisecracked]

[Allowing her to hold one means she gets all up in his personal space. Which she looks ridiculously pleased about.]

I don't think so.

[ So he's likely not in the room where the bidding was held. He has no idea where to start. He could be in the men's room for all they know.

He slowly leads them through the crowd, keeping an eye out for Piccolo. ]

I thought he was a quiet type. [ Didn't Kenzi imply that? Why would he come to an event like this? ]

[wisecracked]

Mmn, yeah he is. I don't think he likes crowds too much. [He came because Kenzi dragged him, obviously.]

He wouldn't leave already, would he?

[wisecracked]

No. He wouldn'a left me. [He worries too much about her to just leave her.]

How does someone like that disappear from sight... [ He continues to look every which way, though. He's not going to leave Kenzi alone to her own (drunk) devices. If worse comes to worse, he can call a taxi for her and pay the fee himself. ] Where did you last see him?

[wisecracked]

In the auction room, but that was ages ago. [He was stopping her from spending more money than she should.]

Maybe he's outside...

[wisecracked]

Maybe. [It's times like these that she wishes Piccolo had a phone.]

We could be looking all night. [ At least he's not too self-conscious about having Kenzi hanging over him. A few people look their way curiously and he ignores it, turning toward one of the doors. ]

[wisecracked]

Maybe we should just find somewhere to sit? He'll find me. [She was sure of that.

Kenzi doesn't even seem to notice the stares. It isn't like that time when she was hanging of Hale's arm at the noble Fae families gathering. That time had been all about messing with them and listening to their surprised reactions that Hale would take a human for his potential wife, although that was all just an act.]

[invoking]

[ He halts and nods a bit. ]

... Alright. You should probably have some water, too. [ He hopes she won't have another outburst... ]

[wisecracked]

[Just don't talk about rich people.] Water would be nice, mouth is startin' to feel furry.

[invoking]

[ He won't because it gets too close to personal matters. ]

Here. [ He leads her to a small table and pulls out the chair for her, trying to get her neatly seated on it. ] I'll go fetch some water.

[wisecracked]

Mmmk. [She settles into the chair and lowers her head to the table until Gil returns.]

[invoking]

[ He returns shortly with a tall glass of water for her. It's not too cold, either. He puts it down on the table and takes a seat, turning his head away quickly when a duo of women pass by, smiling at him. ]

Ah... here.

[wisecracked]

[Poor Gil, all the ladies want him.

Kenzi mutters a thanks and sits up, downing nearly half the glass in one go.] That's better.
