WHO: The C Twins, Cyd and Charlie (
egohalfempty &
not_really_charlie)
WHERE: The ginger girls' new apartment.
WHEN: uh backdated to last week, before she texted Kanaya about sexy werecats (nsfw!)
WARNINGS: don't read this if you are allergic to cats
SUMMARY: Charlie has brought another redhead into her and Cyd's place – one that meows. Yay! What a shame Cyd's allergic (and doesn't know it).
FORMAT: Prose to start with, whatever after.
It hadn't take much for Charlie to convince Cyd to move out of the M.A.C. — even if it wasn't "real", almost becoming Board Game Cheetah Chow was more than enough to dampen her enthusiasm about having her own apartment. Getting jumpy every time you walked to your own bedroom? Yeah, it just wasn't healthy.
Although it was nice not having to worry about rent. Or mooching off Dad.
And it was so nice not having a "roommate".
Speaking of her new roomie, though, where was her psuedo-twin? Now that she was thinking about it, Cyd hadn't heard from her in a while... was it time to start getting worried? Because she was getting worried. Like, peeking out the window every few seconds and anxiously checking her phone for new messages worried. Chewing her fingernails worried. (Okay, that's not fair, she was already doing that. Not Charlie's fault.) Seriously, if she didn't get a call or a text soon, she'd...
Definitely do something. Once she figured out what.

...One hefty step at a time, though. Bringing home the orange fuzz ball.

That wasn't voicemail.
She peeks out the window for, like, the millionth time and spots Charlie carrying — something. From this distance, she's not sure what, but she's opening the door anyway.

"Hi."

Sure, she looks the same as always, but no one would blame Charlie for wondering if this was really Cyd. The other redhead is practically bouncing in glee, nearly skipping towards the ball of fluff, actually smiling for once and letting loose what could only be described as a squee.

"Do you like cats?" she held it up, somewhat uncertainly.

So now would be a good time for Cyd to sneeze right in the little thing's face. Because that's the right way to make a good first impression!

She doesn't know what to do with the squirming thing.
