A boy and his dog.

[Damian hadn't expected to inherit anything when he arrived here, let alone a bunch of animals. He wouldn't admit it, but he didn't mind them, even if he wasn't quite used to having them around yet. A part of him had been stubborn about accepting them at first, given they were a product of this world and someone else's life, but enough time spent around them had helped to change his mind. At least he was addressing them by name now.
But he's still stuck doing things like taking care of and playing with said animals, and that would be fine except it's so weirdly domestic and he isn't used to that part. That's why even now, it still feels strange to be walking a dog, and why sometimes, it sorta seems like the dog is walking him and not the other way around.
It's really embarrassing, tbh.
When he's not being dragged along, Damian sits on one of the park benches and tosses a ball to the dog now and then. The dog seems to be enjoying himself, running around and bringing the ball right back, but Damian doesn't share the enthusiasm. He looks bored. Maybe a little exasperated.

It's still more trouble than it's worth. If I could have someone else take care of this "necessity" for me, I would.
