Like the stars miss the sun in the morning sky
WHO: Helena & Kotetsu
WHERE: A midtown cafe
WHEN: Tuesday afternoon
WARNINGS: Discussion of death?
SUMMARY: Kotetsu tries to comfort his recently bereaved employer.
FORMAT: Quick.
[The last week or so has been hell for Helena. Finding the rest of Harvey's gang and avenging Kate has dominated her mind, and as a result, she's been more or less useless when it comes to work. The department suffering the most has been the entertainment section of WE. With the executive producer and creator in an angry fog of mourning, the production of Socrates: Action Detective has been chaotic and unruly. Not that she cares much about that. She hasn't even thought about work since Kate was killed.
Her nights have been spent taking her rage out on low level criminals, shaking down anyone who might know anything about what happened the night Kate died. But so far she's come up empty handed, which isn't surprising considering she's thrown her detective training to the wind in favor of using her fists and boots. Needless to say, it isn't the most effective method available, though it does make her feel a bit better.
Meeting Kotetsu for coffee would probably also make her feel better. She was a little surprised when he'd asked her, but she realized that having someone to talk to would probably be beneficial for her. And Kotetsu was a nice person and understood the dangers associated with the superheroic lifestyle. He would be an excellent person to speak with.
There is no effort made to hide her grief as she sits in the cafe and sips her overly fancy coffee and waits for him. Her eyes stay fixed on the door as she watches for any sign of her friend.]

He breezed into the cafe, all energetic, and waved when he spotted her occupying a table already. It took just a minute or two to get his own coffee, and then he slid into the chair across from her]
Hey there. I figured you could use a little time away from the office and such.

When Kotetsu takes his seat, she sets her mug on the table.]
I apologize in advance for being lousy company. It isn't personal.

[his sympathetic look is turned up to eleven, too]
Is there...any news? Any leads on who did it?
