oh shit, there's a horse in the hospital
WHO: Staff, patients, and visitors at the Import Clinic!
WHERE: Import Clinic, Manhattan
WHEN: The entire month of September! We’re going all out, baby.
WARNINGS: Injuries? Probably not much.
SUMMARY: A general and entirely open mingling log for goings-on and CR-building at the clinic! That's really all there is to this. Maybe you want to RP a character getting or giving medical help after a particularly rough night of vigilante action! Maybe you want to establish some hanging-out with coworkers! Maybe your character just lost half an arm! The clinic open log is here for you.
FORMAT: whateva whateva you do what you want
The Import Clinic is a three-story medical facility in Manhattan founded, staffed, and administered principally but not exclusively by Imports. It provides a wide range of medical services to Imports and native humans alike. Thanks to the special technologies and powers possessed by Imports, in many cases the Clinic can offer a higher level of treatment than conventional human medicine.
The Clinic operates with generous funding from private donors, principally a large trust fund previously set up by the Rossum Corporation. This allows it to provide its services for free. Staff members at the Clinic are generally volunteers, but thanks to the facility’s funding they do receive some benefits. All of the Clinic’s machines and equipment are the top-of-the-line, and it’s fully equipped for scientific research as well as treatment. It’s open 24/7 and always has at least someone available to take patients.

It isn't every day she'd get permission to use an offensive incantation indoors. The last time she successfully did and almost got away with it had been when she lit Archer's sheets on fire.
To be fair, he totally deserved it.
Lifting the arm she indicated would be sore as a result of losing her prana if only momentarily, there would be no warning from her otherwise. Instead, there's a loud and fast moving object heading straight for the wall. If at full power, it would be equivalent to a bullet tearing through the wall. Anything less would just be a mold-covered spot.

"Excellent. Original device seems to be functioning well. Shutting off now." His omni-tool appears again as he deactivates the dampener box. The ache in Rin's arm would be vanishing swiftly as the prana begins to flow again.
"Still feeling well? Going to test replica box now."
no subject
Here is where the real fun would begin. Shaking her arm to alleviate the ache momentarily, she found herself watching him intently.
"I'm ready whenever of course."
no subject
Mordin poises himself behind the second box, ready to hit the button, omni-tool prepared to gather data.
"Ready when you are."
[ooc: This dampener is unreliable, so I'll be using an RNG to determine whether this test is a total success, a partial success, or a fizzle!]
no subject
Confidence still in her tone, she prepared herself mentally for the possibility of pain. While it may have been hard the first time, the anxiety was definitely doubled for the second time around.
"Hopefully no permanent damage occurs. If it does, I wonder if dying would restore it to normal. Ahh, but don't tell anyone I'm thinking like that. I'd be accused of acting like a teenager and I'm far too mature for that."
no subject
With that, he hit the button.
[ooc: Full success! Rin's powers should be working just fine, but the dampener is active and would be shutting down any Metamen in the room.]
no subject
"So is this a success?" Warily asking if only because she knew how it felt to fail.
no subject
"No pain?" He asks Rin. "No interruption of abilities?"
no subject
The downside of being a test subject at the place you volunteered to help out at. Though it may be considered an upside that she wasn't willing to destroy it.
Another shot fired at the wall. "Well, it seems to be working. So what was the point of all this again?"
no subject
He inhales, turns off his omni-tool. "Could turn the tide in any conflict. Makes experiment important. Grateful for your help, Rin. Very valuable." If he minds the scorch marks on his lab wall from the test, he doesn't show it.
no subject
If it weren't for the other volunteers she's familiarized herself with here, she likely would have turned him down.
"Defense against the metas? You're serious about that?"
no subject
Yes he would. He absolutely would.
no subject
She's certain they would do the same. Even she would just for fun. "It could be funny to really mess with someone in that manner."
