WHO: Angelica Einstellsehn (
dogabuse), The Major (
loves_war), & Giovanni (
canicide).
WHERE: The warehouse that serves as Angelica's base of operations.
WHEN: After the Major's post, the same evening.
WARNINGS: Uh. Multiple creepers. :V
SUMMARY: Angelica introduces the Major to her research.
FORMAT: Quickpara or para or something, idek. :|;;
She's been keeping the children in cages meant for large beasts-- crude and unsophisticated, nothing like the grand facilities she kept in the Underground before her unfortunate transportation to this city. But, with what few resources Angelica Einstellsehn has, she makes due. Now, the five children that are left-- half, she thinks disdainfully, half of them have died off already-- are in an unnatural sleep, IVs by the little cots they lay on. Machines, some looking like they were constructed from pieces of other things, beep gently.
Angelica watches them. How peaceful they look. Deceptive. The process isn't perfect yet-- no, far from perfect. But she'll make something out of these little angels yet.
For now though, they must rest. The testing is strenuous on them, and their bodies are so prone to rejecting her procedures. Angelica allows herself a moment of reprieve from her labors, drawing off her long gloves and setting them on the counter. Soon, she thinks to herself. Soon she will have power in her grasp again.
By the door, her three dogs perk their heads-- two Rottweilers, and a man in a suit. Of the three, the man is the most alert. Someone is approaching.

The warehouse did not look like the sort of place where great research into the creation of greater and more terrible armies was conducted, which the Major supposed was a good thing- had it been a location which simply screamed out 'here be monsters of war', it would have spoken rather poorly of Frau Einstellsehn's intelligence. And the Major had the feeling that the Doctor was a most formidable and intelligent woman indeed.
He knocked quietly on the door, smiling. This was going to be just splendid, he could feel it!

The monster in him stirs.
He opens the door, pausing to eye the Major a moment before a sharp smile puts an edge to his face. He steps away to let their guest in.
"We've been expecting you."

In person, it's much more clear what kind of threat this woman is. Her voice alone is a gentle, feminine thing. And even now, she stands a graceful figure, her posture neither threatening nor suspicious. But there is something like madness in her eyes-- something like a hunger, subtle hidden away and offset by her deceptive smile.
"This is my assistant, Giovanni." She approaches, gesturing with her hand towards the man in the bug-eyed glasses and suit. "Whom I have told you so very much about."

He liked them both instantly.
"It brings me absolute pleasure to meet you both," he said, looking around the room, smiling at the dogs. "I must compliment you, Doctor, on managing to establish this facility and carry on with your work under such bizarre and adverse conditions!"
me and gio are swapping spots in the posting order. :V
She moves away, gesturing for Giovanni to come with a mere wave of her hand. Approaching one of her many drawers-- who knows what sorts of things she keeps locked away in this makeshift lab-- she draws something heavy and metallic out. A gun. Returning, she offers this weapon to the Major with one of her gentle smiles.
"I think a demonstration is in order," she remarks, gesturing again towards Giovanni. Her voice is a calm when she goes on. "Shoot him. More than once, if you like."

He does, however, remove his suit jacket and set it aside. No reason to ruin anything unnecessarily.

LOL. swapping order again. 8[ /back on top!
Blood spreads out on the floor.
That seems to be the end of it.
Then, like spirits rising out of his body, a pale white vapor begins to seep from the wounds, swirling up into the air. It's less than thirty seconds since the first blew through Giovanni's skull. But there's a twitch in his fingers. And then his hand presses flat against the ground. He pushes himself up to his hands and knees. More vapors rise from every injury.
Finally he stands.
Save for the blood and holes decorating his clothes, Giovanni looks as if he hadn't been shot once.
He bares his teeth in a grin.

"Go clean yourself up, Giovanni," she orders dismissively, waving her hand at her assistant before turning to the Major with another one of her friendly smiles. "What do you think? Clever, isn't it?"

She paused, turning to glance at the sleeping children. "Oh yes. Very young indeed. It's troublesome to find specimens who can survive the procedure, but..." She smiled again. Somehow, there was something unnatural about it. Something edged. "The few that do are so very wonderful."

"I'm confident that soon, I will be able to make more like Giovanni."
