Motorcycle madness
Who: Alastair
hackeralastair and Kiryu
satisfiedsigner
Where: the abandoned motel of home
When: Friday evening-ish (May 29)
Warnings: none that I know of
Summary: biker duelists past and future hanging out.
Format: durr...whatever!
Knowing that there was a large and not-so-fictional creature on the rampage in the City, Alastair had chosen to stay indoors for a while, monitoring the comm for more information. But he was the kind of guy who got bored easily, and then hungry, and couldn't stand to stay cooped up for long. He decided to chance a night out, and after a quick stop by an ATM with his previously-detested dogtags, he was ready to look for company. And it was about time he hooked up with Kyosuke, really. He wanted to see what kind of bike he had, maybe even score a ride. With comm in hand to follow the directions he was given, he made his way down to the place the other duelist called home. Alastair wrinkled his nose a little at the look of the abandoned motel, but he had crashed in some similarly shady places over the past year while traveling Europe, so he wasn't one to complain. He strode up with his hands in the pockets of his jeans, locating the correct door and drawing out one hand to give a knock with the studded knuckles of his gloves.

oh god, your cut text. <3
It took him another moment to recognize the hair (since Aki's was really similar).
"Hey!" he called, waving. "I'll be down in a minute!"
so wrong, I know. XD

"Hey, finally made your way over here?" he said, teasing a little.

He gestured for Alastair to follow him and headed for one of the doors that lead out the back of the motel. Only a few lights were lit, since quite a few were broken and others he just never bothers to turn on. But the inside of the building appeared to be in much better shape than the outside would suggest.

His confusion quickly switched to a grin. "This how I'm supposed to look as a Dark Signer~ I can switch back and forth."

He shook his head and grinned over at Alastair. "But I like yours! I'd rather be able to talk with who I wanted any day. I don't need my powers. I can defend myself without them.
"What were you able to do before?"

The question made him sigh and turn aside a little, pretending to look around for where the bike might be parked. "I could take souls, and imprison them. Create hallucinations, even sort of mess with the minds of people I faced..." There was also that plane he crashed, but that was not one of his proudest uses of the Oricalcos, so he kept it to himself.

Kiryu listened quietly. Their situations sounded similar, but Kiryu didn't feel any regret for what he'd done. He couldn't. He'd thought about it a few times, but that emotion never popped up.
Whereas Alastair sounded like he did...
"I couldn't create hallucinations," he said after a moment. "Not that I know of, anyway."
no subject
He shrugged again. "It doesn't matter, I can't do any of it anymore. Yuugi's pal the pharaoh took care of that. Now I've just got this crazy little language power the 'porter gave me, and here I am."

He walked over to where his bike was parked, glancing back at the building. Well, Saitou hadn't seemed to care when he went on nighttime rides before, although he'd given him a reason to worry recently...
"I could only take souls when I summoned my God...And my attacks were real when I dueled. And all our marks were connected to the Signers' marks. And I got to be a zombie."

He smirked over at Alastair at the first question and laughs again at the second bit. "Oh, it's fast~ And the only cops are either incompetent or imports, so I never get caught anyway."

He remembered something, then, and slipped a wad of bills out of his back pocket and waved them in the air, held between his fingers like a Duel Monsters card. "...a spin, and then maybe get something to eat? I seem to have come into a little cash."
no subject
And food. Food was definitely a good prospect.
He grinned and held the helmet out to Alastair. "Where do you want to go?"

"I think there's a sushi place open this late," he said after a moment. The mark on his arm suddenly started glowing. There's a flash of light, and he's back to looking alive once it faded. Normally, he didn't care if he bothered the civilians, but he didn't really feel like getting harassed tonight.
He straddled the bike with an excited grin. "It one of the better places, to. They get good business."

Of course, once they hit traffic, he slowed down enough to be safe. The police only cared if it looked like someone was drunk, not speeding.

Even so, they were almost there.

"This is it," Kiryu said. He briefly pulled his comm out of his pocket to turn the audio off. Most places like this didn't appreciate "radios". Of course, they didn't appreciate his sword much either, but that didn't leave his person unless he got kicked out.

He noticed the sword but said nothing, yet. He didn't know what to say about it besides the lame, obvious "hey that's a sword." For now, he settled for following Kyosuke in.
