Kiryu practically jumped over the side of the roof, he was downstairs so fast.  He paused a little when he passed his and Saitou's floor; he wasn't sure if Saitou had left yet straight from work or from here, or if he was even gone yet, but he didn't want to bother him.  Obviously, something was bothering him, and he doubted he'd learn more in person than he did over the comm.

He'd probably get smacked in the head again for asking.

But all that really mattered about that was that Saitou probably wouldn't be around for Alastair to show up.  He...might not be too happy about that.  Although he doubted Alastair was loud or obnoxious, so he might not care.

With a single backpack behind him and his laptop case in one hand, Alastair sauntered up the street from the bus stop toward the abandoned motel where Kiryu and Saitou lived. He knew it wasn't fancy, but it was just as free as the MAC and without the spy cameras. He had cleaned out his stipend bank account and then tossed away his dogtags, breaking his ties with the so-called job of being a superhero. This turn of events might suit him better, anyway.

And there it was, looking pretty much the same as it had last time he had visited...to drop Kyosuke's bike off, he remembered. It wasn't the best of days, but at least it was a confirmation that he and Kiryu could trust each other. That was why he felt comfortable knocking on his friend's door for help.

Kiryu started waving when he saw Alastair, not stopping until Alastair was more than close enough. He couldn't help it; he hated being worried, and this gave something to distract him. And he'd been wanting Alastair to move in for ages, but suggesting it didn't seem right.

"Hey! Remembered your way here all right?"

"Sure did." Alastair gave him a grin that didn't at all match the tiredness and lingering irritation inside. He hid it well behind his sunglasses. "I'm a pilot; my sense of direction is awesome."

He set his free hand on his hip. "Did you warn Saitou that you guys were getting another housemate? I'd hate to surprise him first thing in the morning."

Kiryu grinned back for a moment before glancing back at the house.

"Saitou won't be here for a few days. I'll tell him when he gets back. Sho probably won't care."

"Uh oh." Alastair smirked back. "That's all you, man, I'll just be over in the corner not making waves." He thought of asking where Saitou was off to, just to make conversation, but since the man was on the police force, well...it probably wasn't interesting.

"So who's Sho? I don't think I've talked to him. People are real bad about using their names on the network anyway."

Kiryu laughed, shaking his head. "He's really not that bad. Besides, he knows you already. That'll be a plus."

It was probably good that Alastair didn't ask, since Kiryu didn't have an answer.

"Sho's crazy. Obsessed with math. Uses math terms in normal conversation all the time. And he builds art out of trash."

"Yeah, but we haven't really talked. As long as he doesn't have a fit if we're up late talking or gaming," Alastair shrugged. Sometime, he would have to ask how the snarky Kiryu fell in with such a stoic man.

He tossed his head toward the building as if to wordlessly ask if they were going in. "Sounds like a real freak. But if he's a friend of yours, then I'm all right with him."

Kiryu shrugged, looking faintly uncomfortable for a moment. "I'm usually up at all hours anyway. And I usually sleep on the roof." He grinned again a moment later and opened the door for them to go inside. "If he hasn't figured out how to drown out my music by now, he's not allowed to complain."

snicker. "Yeah, he is. The good kind~ I think he might be here..."

"On the roof?" Alastair repeated with a laugh. "You're crazy. This is gonna be fun." He followed Kiryu inside, willing to just go along and put his stuff down wherever he was told. "We're all a bunch of freaks, aren't we? And in this city, that's really saying something."

And Sho, literally appears right in front of them, teleporting from his previous spot, He could after all, hear somebody unfamiliar coming in.

"Heh Kyosuke." He acknowledged with a grin. "Who's the newbie?"

Alastair naturally flinched at the sudden appearance, even if he chided himself a second later that he really should be getting used to things like that by now. "Geez! What the...?"

Kiryu almost laughed, but even he knew that wasn't all that nice. Especially since he really wasn't fond of people teleporting randomly in front of him either. At least he'd gotten partially used to Sho.

"Sorry. I forgot about that. Sho, this is a friend of mine, who's...kind of from my world. Earlier time. Alastair, Sho."

Sho smirked at getting a reaction out of Alastair. He liked being a pain in the butt to everyone. He didn't mind getting new company anyhow.

"Name = Sho Mininmoto, remember it."

"Fine. Sho. Got it. I'm Alastair." He decided not to bother with a Western handshake around Japanese youth, even if their sense of politeness appeared to be nil. He just set his hand on his hip and gave a cocky tilt of his head. "Just don't teleport into my room when I'm busy and I'm sure we'll get along just fine."
