Dance The Night Away

WHEN: Directly following Booster's Post.

SUMMARY: Warren went and watched Alison's show and they have a talk about it after.
FORMAT: Para then Quicklog.

The show had gone on for a few hours, and somehow Warren managed to survive it. The club they played in was rundown and shoddy, and the patrons matched the look exactly. A lot of the women were middle aged and sporting leather tops, tiny mini skirts, teased hair, and lipstick so red it put the strobes to shame. The men were no better, only they were more pushy and angry drunks. Warren didn't ever step foot in places like those, and it was difficult to not be rude and grumpy about it.

Despite the cougars hitting on him and the men throwing nasty curses at him and shoving him every time he walked by, Warren managed to keep his cool long enough to watch the entire show. Booster Gold and his little get-up was obnoxious as hell, but he enjoyed Alison. She looked and sounded beautiful and he was proud of her; she looked so happy up there and no matter how gross the place was, that very fact stood out.

The pair were just tidying their equipment off the stage when Warren found himself in the company of two trashy women again. "Hello again, ladies."

They just giggled, and asked if he was interested in buying them some drinks.

How typical.

[raises his eyebrows and glances down at her]

How can you be so sure? Sounds pretty straight to me. Even if he does wear those ridiculous pants...

Oh, please, Angel. He just doesn't know it yet! It happens sometimes, remember? I mean, you are friends with Iceman, right?

Okay, okay, point definitely taken. Bobby's a little oblivious about that though, so you have to just shove him in the right direction.

[Pauses, still laughing]

I even took him to a gay bar once, and he still had no idea what to do.

[She laughs at that.]

You went to a gay bar?

[ascending_angel]

[Nods amusedly, grinning as he flies up to his window and helps her inside.]

Sure I did. I got right smashed too, it was great. He was pissed though.

[His room is just the same as always. Hee. She's suddenly reminded of what they talked of on vacation. Their deal.]

You didn't meet anyone did you?

[Totally teasing.]

[Climbs inside and pulls off his jacket, teasing right back]

No one who stuck.

[She smiles, but frowns when she remembers the crap still on her face. Ewww.]

Yeah. I need to wash this off! Hold on a second.

[ascending_angel]

[He just smiles at her and nods, gesturing to his bathroom]

Go ahead. I'll be out here.

[idateforsupper]

[She goes in and washes the crap off her face. Yuckkk. It doesn't take too long, so she's out soon enough. But she's still in her goddamn disco outfit so christ there is no winning tonight.]

Much better.

[He changes into a pair of shorts while he's waiting, and sits down on the bed to wait for her. He gives her a smile when she returns.]

You want a shirt or something to wear?

[idateforsupper]

[She tucks her hair behind her ear, nodding.]

Okay.

[ascending_angel]

[He nods and gets up to rummage through his closet, grabbing a t-shirt with a football logo on it. It's loose on him, so big enough for her to feel decently covered in.]

There you go. Is that okay?

Mhmm.

[She kisses him on the cheek as she takes it from him, going back to the bathroom to change. This feels kind of weird, but she thinks she's okay. She folds up her costume neatly and sets it on the floor when she emerges. Alison walks back up to him, arms behind her back as she smiles a little.]

I think it fits.

[He just chuckles at that, shaking his head at her a bit]

Definitely the new look of the season.

[He holds out his hand to her]

Looks good.

[She takes it, grinning.]

[He pulls her forward to sit down on the bed next to him, and wraps an arm around her]

Not like you have to try hard.

You really did look amazing tonight. If you guys keep at it, I bet you'll be playing bigger clubs in no time.

[She grins at him. Yes, she's feeling a lot better than earlier.]

And you'll like those better.

I'd imagine so. I can't say your crowd was all that friendly. Well...some were a little too friendly, but you know what I mean.

Yeah, I saw how friendly some people were.

[NOT JEALOUS.]

Yeah and some wanted to try and toss me around for no other reason than because my jacket was nicer than theirs.

Hey, I can handle 'rough' just fine, but I'm not going to embarrass you and get my ass thrown out the door on your first night.
