WHO: Mew ([livejournal.com profile] pinkdoombubble) and Duck ([livejournal.com profile] poorduck)
WHERE: Some street idk
WHEN: Today?
WARNINGS: I think we're good without warnings here, thanks
SUMMARY: Mew and Duck hang out after Mew uses her psychic powers to help a newspaper stand clerk I guess?
FORMAT: Paragraph to start at least

Mew was roaming the streets of the City again. She went where her feet took her, watching the people as she went. Every once in a while she would spot something interesting adn take some time to investigate it, but she would usually move on shortly after. After all, there were plenty more things to discover! Mew was continually surprised by the human world, there were just so many things around, and they were all so different! There were movies, plays and concerts, knick-knack shops, restaraunts... all kinds of new and exciting things!

For example, Mew had tried something called a pretzel that day. Getting the sugar off from around her mouth afterwards had been pretty hard, but it really had been tasty! just another great thing the human world had to offer!

Well now Mew was wandering again. Through streets, up hills, down hills... popping into stores and places that caught her interest and keeping track of the City's layout as best she could for later teleportation purposes. She knew most of the City now, which was good. And if worse came to worse, short distances she could do even without knowing where she was going, so she could still get around through dead reckoning.

As she wandered, she accidentally bumped into a newspaper stand, having been looking in a particularly interesting toy store window. There had been a train moving through it and everything, could you really blame her?

Anyway the guy yelled at her when multiple stacks of papers fell to the ground, and "asked" that Mew pick them up. Mew snapped to attention and, with a rapid apology, picked them all up with her telekinesis and placed them back. The stand owner just stood there with a glare in his eye as Mew apologized again and moved on, still watching the display windows of the stores. Thankfully no one had been paying attention to the stand at that particular moment, and Mew was able to move on with little incident.

No one, that is, except for a certain red-haired girl who, on her way home from ballet-lessons, had observed the entire thing, wide-eyed. Curious about the pink stranger, Duck had decided to follow. If Mew looks back, she'll notice she's acquired a stalker. A rather inept stalker, since she always forgets that when she ducks behind trash-cans and other forms of cover, her hair-antenna still sticks out.

Duck walked into the trap like a chump. She was completely fooled. Really, she was only curious about Mew.

"QU-" Duck exclaimed. She covered her mouth with her hands before the crucial 'ack'.

"Ahahah. Hi!"

"Eeeeh? I was following you?" Duck started by denying it, but then she realized it probably wouldn't do any good. She slouched. "I guess I was. Sorry about that."

Duck brightened up quickly. "Oh, well in that case! I saw you at that news stand! It was really neat!"

"So I guess you were ported into the City, same as me, then." said Duck, rubbing the back of her head. She was still a little sheepish about the whole spying thing.
