WHERE: The abandoned hotel bachelor pad
WHEN: Thursday afternoon
SUMMARY: Bakura's making a house call for bento delivery

Bakura blinked, looking down at his com to check the address. This was where Alastair lived...?

He knocked on the door, looking up for any signs of life. "Alastair-kun? Are you there?"

"Hang on!" he called out, hoping it would be loud enough. His own door was half-open, so he shoved it out of his way and hurried to meet Bakura before he could get lost in the abandoned motel's hallways looking for him. He figured the younger boy would wait for him to open the door regardless of whether it was locked.

He blinked again. Bakura?
"Hey, Bakura-kun! What're you doing here?"
no subject
He paused, blinking up at Kiryu's call, shading his eyes a little as he squinted up. "Kiryu-kun?" he called up, curiously. Why was he on the roof? "Aah, I brought dinner for everyone!" he grinned, holding up his bag. "Didn't Alastair-kun tell you?"
no subject
Only then did he step aside and invite Bakura to come on in.
no subject
"Yeah, yeah, why don't you come up here for once?"
Still, he left the edge of the roof and went for the service door and the stairs. Free food, especially if Bakura made it, was worth not really giving Alastair a hard time.

Sho teleported himself from his spot on the chair to near the entranceway. Perhaps startling Bakura in the process if he was close enough. He smirked, sensing the new visitor was bringing in their dinner.

"Hey~ The dining area's that way. It's kind of small, but it'll work."

"Think I should call Saitou? He might not want to leave work for this, but it couldn't hurt to ask."
Anyone has that mun's IM to ping?
"Aah, if you think he wouldn't mind! I didn't want to bother him or anything!" smiles, pulling out a rather large container of soba. "I can always drop by the station and deliver his if he can't come..."
no subject
I'm sure cal does~
He looked to Bakura, then. "Are you staying to eat with us, or just dropping this off and running? I don't want to make you out just to be a delivery service or something."
she's never on AIM ^^; I asked, and she's sitting it out
He checked on more time before walking out, almost jogging as he reached the stairs.

"Aah, you were the one who liked ramen, right?" he asked Sho with a smile as he carefully took the lid off the large bowl of noodles and broth. "I just did it traditional style, you'll have to let me know how it is!"
no subject
"And traditional style is right up my matrices~" He said with glee as he seated himself. Wasn't going to be Ramen Don's but he couldn't go there now.

He craned his neck to see if Kiryu was back yet, with or without an answer. He wasn't going to wait to serve himself, though, he was already filling a plate.
no subject
"He said he's too busy. He won't be home 'til late. Damn, this looks good. Thanks, Bakura-kun."
He sat down and started dishing up some food for himself. He really would have liked if Saitou would come home early for once, but considering the case he was working on...he couldn't be too upset.
no subject
He looked up Kiryu and gave a small nod and shy smile at the compliment. "Maybe after we eat, I can bring him over the soba? So he can eat it at work?"
no subject
He didn't seem too interested in the conversation taking place. He just going to devour the cup of ramen on his plate right now.

He glanced over at Bakura, considering that for a moment. "He'd probably appreciate it. Although then he might not come home 'til tomorrow. I'd drag him, but...ugh, going to the police station..."

He tapped his chopsticks against his lips, thinking. "I could use a day off...we probably all could..."

He turned to Kiryu again as he spoke, dabbing the edge of his lips with the napkin he'd tucked into his shirt before giving another small laugh. "I'm still getting used to taking days off myself," he admitted. "So I can understand, really. What do you do for work, Kiryuu-kun?" he asked curiously, realizing he had no idea.
no subject
"Sounds like a good zetta good idea, Kyosuke."
no subject
He glanced thoughtfully at Bakura. "At least you're not exhausting yourself at the clinic every night anymore. That was probably most of the problem right there."
no subject
His expression turned curious. "What are you doing now, Bakura-kun?"
no subject
He turned to Kiryu. "Aah, still working at Ryoko's!" he said with a soft laugh. "Though... I've been thinking about maybe looking for something else. I mean, it's a nice place and I really like working there and the regulars are really nice..." he hesitated a moment. "But I feel bad whenever something happens and I have to run off. And-- and sometimes I wonder if there's something else I should try," he admitted, rubbing the back of his neck a little before giving a small laugh. "Aaah, I think I've been here so long I'm starting to think like an American, a little!"
no subject
"And are you the delivery digit there?" He questioned while twirling his noodles into tight knots.
