WHO: Cyborg and ANY OTHER TITANS LOL
WHERE: Titans Tower
WHEN: Today
WARNINGS: Not that I can think of right now.
SUMMARY: The usually-upbeat Cyborg is feeling a little down. Maybe it's because his friends are some crazy alternate-universe version of themselves and they don't recognize him.
FORMAT: Started in paragraph, anything goes cause I'm lazy.
Cyborg looked down at the flashing red light on his arm display. Battery Power: 15% flashed at him from the tiny indicator screen. He tossed the communicator that he'd gotten from the strange computer when he first arrived to a table, and sat down on a nearby couch, spreading his arms over the back and leaning back in it, staring up at the ceiling. What a day, he thought to himself as he contemplated his new surroundings.
He'd been aware that there were other universes and dimensions (having been sucked into Raven's mind once, and then learning later about some other planes), but he hadn't counted on them having alternate versions of his friends. And the fact that none of them had really recognized him at first....well, it was disheartening. The Raven here had tried, but despite her kindness, it still wasn't the same.
He'd been separated from the other Titans before, of course, but he'd never felt so alone.
And he needed power, or else he was going to black out again, and after the zombies appearing right when he arrived, who knew what problems that could cause?

Except that there's someone new sitting on one of their couches. Dick stops a few meters away and stares. What does this bring it up to? Three new guys in less than a week?
He sighs and crosses his arms.] So, who are you supposed to be?
no subject
Robin? Is that you? It's me, Cyborg!
no subject
He sighs and presses his lips together.]
I am Robin. But I can't say I know who you are.
no subject
I'm, uh, Cyborg. We work together in the Teen Titans...or at least some version of you does. I've already been told about the multiple universes stuff.
no subject
[And after a beat.] Man, does this mean you also know my name?
no subject
And I don't know your name...the Robin back home kept everything strictly professional. Just knew 'im as Robin.
no subject
Just go with the assumption we're not the same person then. It'll make things easier.
So. D'you know anyone here? From your own universe, I mean?
no subject
no subject
So are you from Jericho's universe? I don't think there's any villain here from Batman's universe -- not that we know of, anyway. And Deathstroke is from Jericho's.
no subject
no subject
Yeah. Him. He's called Deathstroke in the other Robin's universe but -- the crazy demon fire powers match with the name. [B|]
If that's the guy you were told was here... well it's true.
no subject
I can never forgive that guy. Yeah, he may have helped us save Raven, but after what he did to my Robin, and Terra, and Beast Boy...if I ever run into him, I'm gonna pound him so hard he'll wish that Trigon hadn't saved his sorry butt.
[He angrily slams his metal fist down onto the table, denting and chipping the wood, before looking back at Robin apologetically]
no subject
He... moved his interest to the other Robin here. S'not my story to tell but you'll probably hear about it.
No one around here likes him, you won't be alone trying to get a punch in.
no subject
Yeah. Doesn't surprise me. I hope I'm not alone going after that guy.
[He picks up his communicator, examining it]
Interesting gadget. Wonder if I can integrate it into my communications module in my arm.
no subject
You'd have to try it out, but the technology's not compatible with much of anything else. It's made so it's pretty much impossible to duplicate, too.

[He shrugs.] Anyway, I've got patrol, I was just passing by for a minute.
no subject
A plate with a sandwich on it is held over his face, with a slight swaying motion to coax him to take it. ]
no subject
Thanks Raven. You know me, I'm always hungry.
[He grins, trying not to make it so obvious that the sight of her in a swimsuit just makes no sense to him at all.]
no subject
Some things transcend dimensions, I suppose. And don't mind the outfit too much, I've just found that swimming helps calm my nerves when I'm stressed. It's the sound of the water, I figure.
no subject
[He makes quick work of the sandwich.]
Back in my world, you wouldn't be caught dead wearing something like that, that's all.
[He chuckles slightly]
no subject
It wasn't until I was cleansed of my father's evil that I began to wear something other than traditional saris or my cloak. And as the years have gone by, I've learned from my teammates, gone outside of my usual comfort zone.
Now here I am.
no subject
[He sighs]
I kinda feel out of every possible comfort zone here, though. Even Bea-- Gar didn't recognize me.
no subject
It's the outward appearance that confuses people, however just give it a few days, Victor. You have a warm spirit, a loving heart that's obviously there regardless of what dimension you're pulled from. You're the same man, just with a different shell and life experiences.
You're already part of the family.
no subject
Thanks, Raven. It means a lot to hear that coming from you.
[It's obvious that he's still disappointed about Beast Boy, though.]
And in the meantime, I can fix this place up. Looks pretty shabby compared to the towers I set up back in my world.
no subject
[ But she laughs, pulling her hand back and setting it properly in her lap with the other one. ]
You know, hearing that doesn't surprise me? I always assumed when you'd show up, that the place would get a few major upgrades. Robin has been doing a wonderful job so far, but it's nothing like the things you could come up with, I'm sure.
no subject
But first thing is that I'm rebuilding my car. My baby got destroyed, and I want her back.
no subject
[ But seeing that excitement in him makes her smile a bit more, and her body language visibly eases. ]
Just don't put anything insane on it? Like rockets or anything that wouldn't be in a normal car?
no subject
[He grins.]
Come on, just one turbo booster?
no subject
[ Despite her plea, it's got a laugh mixed into it. ]
If you're nice I may let you put in a GPS system.
no subject
[He smirks slightly.]
I miss my car. And my sub/plane/spaceship.
no subject
[ She practically beams at him now, tucking one leg up and setting her chin on her knee. ]
Actually I should probably introduce you to my mentor here. He fights in a suit of armor, and comes close to even your level of understanding in technology and engineering. I've told him all about you.
no subject
[He looks over at her.]
Who is he, though? Suit of armor sounds kinda cool. Sounds like he's trying to be me.
no subject
His name is Tony Stark, I currently assist him. I know you two would hit it off.
no subject
Almost walking right by the common room, he stopped and did and did a double-take. There, right there, was mini-Vic. Cyborg. His greatest friend's sixteen-year-old, blue, glow-y counterpart.
It was weird, to say the least.
"Uh." He reached up to scratch the back of his head. "Hey. What's up?"
no subject
He could tell just from Garfield's tone of voice that it was going to be another painfully awkward conversation, and that regardless of what he did, it would end with Garfield still not really accepting him as Cyborg.
"How's it goin'?"
no subject
Right. "You?"
no subject
"I know I'm not the Cyborg you remember," he said, after an awkward silence. "But it still don't mean we can't be friends, right?" He finally turned to look over at him. "I mean, you're not the Beast Boy that I know, either. But you're still a familiar face."
It was not like Cyborg to be down like this. But then again, given the situation, he figured he was keeping himself pretty much in check.
no subject
It was like a bad joke, really, a 'be careful what you wish for,' but he wasn't going to say that.
