Koltira didn't know why he felt so comfortable in the park. Maybe it was the profusion of life, or the way its sculpted landscape reminded him, even a little, of the forests of his childhood. Either way he was back by the same tree he'd leaned on not long ago, bleeding heavily from his mouth and heaving, trying to answer the questions that had poured in from his aggravating little device.

"Of course there is, I made you upset," Bakura protested softly.

Koltira shook his head, which was still aching considerably. "Bakura. Forget it."

"Sorry..." Bakura voice was quiet as he looked down. "...We're still friends, right...?" he asked after a moment, fidgeting a little, rubbing the scar on his left hand.

"Mm," Koltira said. He had known precious few friends in recent years. He thought, briefly, of Thassarian, who had cared for his welfare despite the racial differences between them, who had called them brothers. "Yes."

Bakura looked rather relieved at that. "I'm glad... I was worried earlier..." he trailed off, seeming a bit embarrassed at himself.

"Twice now you've helped me when I most needed it," Koltira said. "That's not something I take lightly. I simply wish not to think about your games. Not until I've had time to make sense of it in my own way."

Bakura nodded, giving a small smile. "That's fine. This place... it has to be so different from where you're from. I was lucky, really, only ten years out of place and half way around the world, but still basically the same world. With some differences," he amended with a soft laugh.
