WHO: Dick, Wally -- OPEN
WHERE: Titans Tower
WHEN: Monday November 30th, late afternoon
WARNINGS: None.
SUMMARY: End of the prank war. Rooms are getting destroyed.
FORMAT: Quicklog
[Dick has had a demanding week-end and is happy to be back in the City and to go to school because school is normal and calm. Overall. More than anything Titans-related.
He's thinking about taking a nap before getting ready for patrol (he does that, sometimes, but seeing he's thirteen, he normally just locks the door and doesn't tell anyone -- only old people take naps). The smell of paint tips him off first, before he opens the door and sees the pink everywhere.
Everywhere, and oil paint can't exactly be washed, can it? Dick stands staring at the room in shock, making a mental inventory of everything he lost, of how much it'd cost, of what he just can't buy again.
He's seeing red and stomping away, leaving the door open. He knows where to find what he needs -- the hosepipe sets are kept downstairs near the pool, and the isolating glue-y substance that happens to dry very fast near the gym.
It takes a few seconds to break the lock, and Dick verifies that Wally's new pet is high enough that he won't get drowned (he's not cruel) before taking a minute to stick the pipe inside the barely-open door and isolate around so the water will stay in the room. (The only way to empty the room when it'll be done without flooding the entire floor will be to get water-sucking pipes through the window. Good luck with that.) He connects the other side of the hosepipe to the nearest high-flow faucet and opens it to its maximum.
If Wally doesn't come back from wherever he is in the next twenty minutes, he'll stop the water -- it should be half a meter high by then and it's enough to ruin the room back.]

Luckily, his water dragon is safe and this means a life can be spared.
....Although seeing the damage, maybe not. With a scowl on his face Wally works his way over to the window and opens it before he starts on getting most of the water out with the creative use of his power. He can't get it all out and getting his room completely dry will be impossible but he gets enough out that he won't flood the entire floor when he opens the door.
Which is what he does when he's finished and then proceeds to stomp down the hall.]
ROBIIIIN!
no subject
Oh god, what happened this time?
[He's looking a little rumpled, having just rolled out of a nap.]
Do I need to send you two to the corner or something?
no subject
Wally is so lucky that he has a spare because there was no way he was losing time patrolling over this.
He knows Wally is back when he hears the scream and is out of his room after Roy has his head out of his. He ignores Wally and turns to Roy, stating simply obviously very angry,] He destroyed my room.
no subject
He stops his stomping a little distance away and crosses his arms indignantly as he glares daggers at Dick.]
And he flooded mine which means it's going to rot and that's so much worse!
no subject
You two... I have no idea what to do with you two.
[And then he smirks.]
I mean, not bad prank-wise... Not really subtle either, but not bad, but this has really gotta stop before we get kicked out of the tower for being crazy-ass freaks.
Can't you just truce it out or something?
no subject
I'm stopping if he [he nods toward Wally] stops.
no subject
You would like that, wouldn't you? Because it means you would win. [Like hell he's going to let that happen.]
no subject
X'hal! What on Earth are you guys up to now?
no subject
Dick is overall way too angry to sound happy or even calm when he answers Kory's question.] Nothing. It's fine. It's between us.
no subject
He's being terrible again, that's all.
no subject
I'm being terrible? Who ruined my room first?
no subject
That is enough. [Her eyes burn quite literally from the restrained energy as she stepped between the two of them. Back home Wally and Dick were just a bit shorter than her. Here, at their age, she towered over them.] You have both taken this entierly too far. You are team mates. This ends, right here, right now.
no subject
However, he still can't quite stop glowering.]
no subject
I don't even mind ending it right now.
no subject
Good. Follow me. [Taking them down to the gym and she's prepared to move them herself if they don't follow.]
no subject
[He blinks in surprise when Kory tells them to follow her but he does what he's told because obviously she can be one Scary Lady and those are the kind you should really listen to.]
no subject
He really doesn't feel like angering her and whatever she decides to do, it can't be bad, right? She's all about love and all that.]
no subject
I do not care who started this and I do not care if it started in jest, but it has to end. If either of you have a problem with the other, you solve it through peace or you solve it here. You do not destroy our home.
[She steps back and folds her arms.]
No powers and no weapons. You yield when your opponent calls for it. Break any of my rules and you deal with me.
no subject
What!? That's not fair! I don't even know how to fight and it's not like I can turn my super-speed off! [And that last bit was definitely a whine because he really couldn't. Super-speed was just a part of him and reactions at super-speed could even happen involuntary.
No matter what they do though, it would be an unfair fight. With powers Wally would easily win but without Dick would.]
no subject
He rolls his eyes at Wally.] You're a superhero, you should have learned to fight without your powers.
[Then, at Kory,] I wanna change, though. I'm not fighting in school clothes.
no subject
Then just slow it down. I want a fair fight.
no subject
Wally is only a superhero because of his power, without it he'd be useless whether he knew how to fight or not but he doubts Dick would ever understand that. So, he focuses his attention on Kory.]
Easy for you to say, this isn't fair no matter what.
no subject
If you can use your superpowers, I should be able to use mine and my weapons. [Not that Dick really wants to use his goddamn powers. But chances are it will be really unfair for him without them. He'd try.]
no subject
[No room for argument in Kory's tone. She hadn't expected Wally to have so little experience... But he was young and she catches the hurt look on his face before he can cover it with a scowl. Right then. She steps on to the mats, gesturing for Wally to watch her while Dick changes.]
Watch me. Use your eyes, try to anticipate my movements as if I was moving at super speed.
[She takes a moment to center her breathing before rolling into one of the kattas she learned from the Dick of her Earth. There would be time for the techniques she learned from her own years of training later. For now best to stick with something that would look familiar.]
no subject
[It makes sense considering what Dick told him about what the Porter does but he never mentioned having a power himself. He gives Dick a strange look before watching Kory with a concentrated frown.]
Yeah, well, it's like you move in slow-motion to me.
no subject
[And that's all Wally is getting before Dick goes to change. He'll come back soon. He can change quickly.]
no subject
[She finishes the kata and steps off the mats.] I can teach you a few things later if you like.
no subject
It'll be harder if I have to hold myself back. [That much he knows at least.] And uh, sure.
no subject
So are we doing this or not?
[No, he has no problems about randomly fighting at all.]
no subject
[To Dick.] No weapons.
no subject
[He's eyeing Dick and that staff rather warily. Wally, on the other hand, is not too keen on random fighting. What is wrong with you all.]
no subject
If he fails at the holding out his superspeed, I wanna be able to counter at least a little.
[He knows he'll get hits, but he wants to be able to give some in return. Have you seen his room? Because there's nothing much to see there, it's just a giant pink thing that he can't use anymore B|
Yes, he's a grudgy kid.]
*shuffles in*
"This stupid prank war is officially over. And since neither of you can use your rooms until I'm done fixing them, you can share one of the spare rooms."
no subject
"You want me to share a room with him!?" An accusing finger pointed at Dick and the 'Are you insane?' was heavily implied in his tone.
no subject
It's so like Tim. God.
He wrinkles his eyebrows a lot and his expression is quite close to the one Wally is wearing. "I agree! Why can't he sleep on the couch?!"
no subject
He sighs a little. "You can learn to respect each other's private space by having to deal with it being your space, too. That's final."
no subject
So he keeps his mouth shut and glances over to Dick uncertainly to see how he's going to react.
no subject
"When I joined the team I didn't know someone would show up and judge the way I am to the point of deciding he ought to change it! I'm not changing and anyway, you have a stick up your ass way more than I could ever. But you're not the one anyone is covering in freaking sparkles because ooooh, you always were that way but not the other Robin. The other Dick was so much more playful or whatever the hell I know."
Argh, he's rambling now. He stops talking and takes a deep breath, "Well this is bullshit and I'm not rooming with Kid Flash. He can have the room, I'll do without."
no subject
"No-one wants you to change, not like that. It's not fair on you that people have a hard time adjusting. But it's not fair on anyone to get so out of control and then not accept the consequences. You're staying in the same room even if I have to lock you in there myself." And his tone says that he will.
More quietly, he adds, "The reason I have a stick up my ass, as you put it, and no-one seems to do anything about it is because the friends I had that would have done anything about it are dead in my time, and only one of them is here right now. Things weren't always this way."
no subject
It's looking more and more like this is going to turn into an argument of sorts and Wally has no idea what to do about it - he's not a good peacekeeper plus he hardly knows Tim - other than fidget uncomfortably on the spot, uncertain whether to cut in or not.
Talk about awkward.
no subject
It's too early to patrol and he doesn't have any clothes anymore other than his uniform and -- well he does have one set, still, downstairs. He can use this as an excuse to leave the Tower.
"And clothes. I'll go buy myself a new wardrobe." He pauses and adds, annoyed, "If I'm allowed to go out."
no subject
... He's far too young to be thinking like this, damn it.
"Yes, you're allowed out. I think you both need some new clothes, but I'm not going to force you to go shopping together, so don't worry." He raises his eyebrow slightly. "And I'll take care of replacing any spare uniforms and other stuff."
As much as he can.
no subject
"Thanks and um...sorry," he says as he rubs the back of his head awkwardly before eyeing his closed-off room. "Can I go get my water dragon?" He'd rather find a good spot for it and worry about clothes later.
no subject
The comment about the uniform makes him calm down just a little, at least. "Thanks about the spare." And that's all he's saying before leaving so he'll be able to waste some perfectly good hours buying clothes.
no subject
"Yeah, of course." He gives Wally a faint smile - since he did apologise and seems to be taking this better than Dick, Tim's mood is softer - and pulls away the one strip of hazard tape that was actually blocking Wally's door.
no subject
He returns Tim's smile with a little apologetic one of his own and ducks into his room to retrieve the tank holding his water dragon. He's back in a moment and with a final nod of gratitude, zips away to look for a good spot.
