A very Hell Towers Xmas

WHO: Bakura, Kiryu, Alastair and Saitou [and Hiruma in another thread cause, well, he as a present to get delivered too]
WHERE: Hell Towers, 10th floor
WHEN: Sometime Xmas day
SUMMARY: Bakura is delivering his presents to his floor-mates.

Bakura hummed happily to himself as he knocked on the door to his friends' apartment, a trio of bags at his arm. Despite having been told 'No gifts,' he had still gotten his brothers and their roommate a set of them. Since it was for the apartment as a whole, and not really specifically for one person, it didn't count, right?

Of course right.

Bakura smiled with a touch of faked innocence. "I'm not interrupting something, am I?"

"Nothing I can't pick up later." Alastair patted him on the shoulder to get Bakura to go along with him back to the living room. "What's going on out here?"

"I got everyone sort of a late housewarming gift!" Bakura smiled, heading back to the kitchen where the packages lay. He had even taken care NOT to wrap them in holiday paper.

Though they still looked pretty festive.

Alastair snorted under his breath - it was a laugh, but not much of one. Leave it to Bakura to find a way around "Christmas." He looked over the wrapped packages and then toward Kiryu. "So who gets to open them?"

He shrugged a little, looking them over with a slight grin. "We could each open one. I'll go get Saitou, although I can't imagine he hasn't noticed all this."

"There's enough for everyone to open at least two!" Bakura smiled, reaching into the bag. "Aah, this one's your's specifically," he smiled, handing Alastair a medium sized box. "This one's yours, Kiryu-kun..." He held out another. "And this one's for Saitou-san. AAah-- he should open this one too--" He pulled out yet another box, bigger this time and set it down next to the box he had designated Saitou's. "And you can open this one, and you can open this one!"

"Oh, geez..." Alastair took the first box, leaving the other indicated sitting on the counter. He ripped it open and pulled out the green-toned bowl with mild interest. "Ah. Dishes. That's definitely a housewarming gift, all right."

By now Saitou was leaning in the doorway from his and Kiryu's room, raising a dark eyebrow at whatever was going on. Aome seemed pretty curious too, as she'd zoomed out of that room before Saitou -- briefly glaring daggers at Kiryu -- then peering up curiously at Bakura.

"What's all this, then?"

Kiryu grinned and tugged on one of Saitou's wrists to get him moving. "Bakura got us some presents that apparently aren't for this Christmass thing. At least one's for you."

Reluctantly Saitou followed Kiryu out to the main living room, still a bit wary of whatever was going on, then blinked at Kiryu a second on what he'd said.

"... Presents."

Bakura nodded in agreement. "Belated house warming presents!" he smiled, holding out the pair of boxes for Saitou before turning to Alastair. "Do you like them?" he asked with a smile before reaching down to offer a hand to pet Aome.

Alastair had moved from the bowl to the tea set, and after giving them all a cursory inspection, set them down in a clear spot on the countertop. "Yeah, that's nice of you, Bakura. Better than the chipped dishes we nicked from the motel, really."

Saitou still took a second before taking the offered items, not used to this sort of thing at all. The idea of presents was beyond him. Though after a second he sighed under his breath and sat down, Aome zooming over to claim her usual spot of peering over his shoulder.

He can't help a soft laugh, though, upon opening the first box and looking the items over. "Sake cups." Ironic.

Kiryu grins and flops down next to him, grabbing the couple boxes Bakura had separated out for him. And making sure to give Aome a brief glare to show he wouldn't be moving anywhere anytime soon.

"Heh, pretty obvious this bowl's mine, isn't it?" he said, opening the first box.

Bakura beamed happily, nodding at Alastair's comment.

He blinked at Saitou's laugh, looking at him with a curious smile, though not really expecting an explanation. "There's also your bowls," he smiled, nodding to the other box. "I couldn't quite find the ones I wanted, so I got the closest I could fine. Hope you don't mind them!"

He looked over at Kiryuu with a big grin. "Un! I thought of you when I spotted them, so I knew I had to get them for you. They were actually the first part of the set I picked out!"

Alastair came over and leaned on the back of the couch, giving Aome a scratch behind the ears while he watched the rest of the dish-set unfold.

"The sake set might come in handy. So, wait...you got each of us a special bowl?"

Aome almost started to hiss when Kiryu got so close, but her owner quickly poked her forehead as if to say "be nice." She started sulking at that for a second, but cheered up a little when getting loved on by Alastair. He was okay. Saitou didn't spend as much time with him anyway.

Though Saitou was currently being ignorant to his cat's fussing, quirking a brow again at the bowls he was given. He wasn't used to being given things, even as courtesy. So for now he muttered a "thanks" in Bakura's direction, looking over the sake set some more.

Kiryu cheerfully ignored Aome in favor of opening the last box, especially since she let him sit so close. And if she wasn't happy about it, that was even better.

"These are...sushi dishes, right?" Kiryu smiled a little, setting them next to the other dishes. They'd definitely get some use out of those.

"This is...this was really nice of you, Bakura..."

Bakura nodded at Alastair with a big smile. "So everyone has their own rice bowl! And I got two of each so there'd be a pair in case you needed both at once!" he explained before smiling widely at Saitou's 'thank you.' He had been a little concerned the man wouldn't care at all for the bowls, so was rather happy they passed.

He nodded to Kiryuu. "Un! They are! I figure I make you guys sushi enough, you really should have the set!" he smiled happily.

"Wow..." Alastair clearly approved, from where he was standing. "Man, he's right - you outdid yourself again. We could actually use this. You're way too nice to us slobs..."

He clicked his tongue a bit at Alastair's comment. 'Slobs' indeed. He didn't even have enough belongings to throw them around carelessly - which he liked to refrain from anyway. But sharing a room with someone who wasn't as concerned about being organized could be frustrating at times.

Kiryu chuckled a little, but didn't really protest against the term "slob." It was probably appropriate for the two of them anyway. Besides, he was too busy examining one of his rice bowls again to care.

"Yeah...we have to pay you back for this somehow. It's just too nice...what d'you want?"

Bakura gave a soft laugh. "I didn't do this for you guys to pay me back," he assured with a warm smile looking almost embarrassed. "I just wanted to get you something that you'd like."

"No, I'm with Kyosuke on this one," Alastair piped up. "You're always so good to us and we just take advantage of it. We're either gonna do something or get something for you, so speak up now while you got the chance."
