Who: OPEN TO ALL
What: Avengers/Police First Annual Carnivaland Shenanigans
Where: Central Park
When: Saturday and Sunday
Warning: TBD
Summary: here
Format: Para to start and then quicklog -- tag yourselves in!
Staying awake for nearly 48 hours was nothing new to Janet. She had been a graduate student, once, not too long ago, and there was a time right before her dissertations were due that she stayed awake for nearly five days on nothing but coffee grinds and a prayer. Everyone had just finished setting up for the carnival-- food stands, a stage, everything colorfully decorated, and some reporters hanging around-- and Jan, in all of her OCD glory was triple checking every piece of wood, nail, and screw.
It wasn't terribly large but there were a fair number of booths and people who couldn't wait to dunk, watch eat pie, or kiss some of their city's finest. Janet was pretty sure that every old lady in the city would give their meds and cane to have a chance to kiss Tony Stark.
Tiredness was starting to hit her but it was overwhelmed by anxiety. If anything went wrong, it was going to be completely on her. So far, so good but she didn't want to jinx it.
Jan took a sip of her eighteenth cup of coffee and said a little prayer to any deity listening.

After the second, he's caught unawares, because he didn't think it caught enough of the target, but down he goes in a big ridiculous splash.
When he finally gets up, wiping his eyes clear, there she is, right there. So instead of reaching for some joke about only needing two balls, he swings open the tank door and quickly scoops her up to drag her into the drink with him.]

Aw John no, my hair'll be a wreck an' my clothes...
[She laughs though as she's dragged in, but holy hell the water is freezing.]
Christ, it's cold.

[That's when he rests her back against the wall of the tank and gives her a hell of a kiss. Good thing there's nobody else in line to dunk him.]

She chuckles, pulling away for a moment.]
I'm feelin' warmer already.

What do you say we go heat up somewhere else and let the next poor bastard take his dunks?

That sounds like a great idea.
