Log; Ongoing
WHO: Scott Summers and Jean Grey
WHERE: Medlab at the Institute
WHEN: Sunday morning
WARNINGS: None
SUMMARY: Scott visits Jean for a check up and to talk about his crazy ex-wife.
FORMAT: Quicklog or paragraph
Scott was actually looking forward to seeing Jean. With all the craziness with Maddie the craziness with Jean seemed relatively low key. There were still a lot of things they had to discuss, but he wasn't quite as worried about it now as he was when she first came. They had spent some time together on Friday and gotten used to be around each other, which helped.
So when he got to the medlab, he was a lot more relaxed than he originally thought he would be.

If she thought about it, she probably would realize that she was compensating just a little in her mind so as not to think about Scott - her Scott, and the Scott here, the one due to arrive at any moment. She sighed and pulled her hair back from her face, pulling a lab coat over her jeans and sweater, as she put the finishing touches on Scott's new lab file.
She'd noticed that he'd been at less than top function on Friday when he'd shown her around and was a little more winded than usual after an especially long trek through the City's boutique district. She'd told him that she could go it alone but he'd insisted on accompanying her anyway. It was a nice gesture, and one she appreciated.

"Getting yourself all settled in?" he asked.

Jean smiled, nodding towards the medical bed that she'd already set up, ready to scan his vitals and for any other physiological anomalies. "Shall we?"

"If there's anything you need for the medlab though, just let me or Warren know."

"So a medical degree, huh?" Scott said. "I never asked where from."

“I got them doing something stupid,” he said, not really wanting to expound on it. “And a girl named Rikku healed them for me today.”

"I met her just after the first time Jean died. The resemblance was uncanny and I quickly fell in love with her. With her, not the fact that she was a clone of Jean, we didn't even know at the time. We got married and I left the X-Men. Maddie and I had a son, but not long after he was born I got a call saying Jean was alive. I just- I left them. No word of where I was going, no real goodbye, I was just out there door."

"She was understandably furious," he continued. "And things happened, and she made some bad choices and she became evil. There's no other way to put it. Insane and evil."

"Hopefully everyone is on my side," he said with a sigh. "I'm sorry I brought this problem on you."

"At least partially. But anyways, we've dealt with her before and we'll deal with her again. We've trained for this sort of thing."

"So I spoke with Doctor McCoy about the lack of records and he agrees that we should perform physical evaluations. The Team first, then faculty. The students only if you deem it necessary, but it would be a good idea."

"Dr. Kinney did some tests when she was here, but she split her time between the Institute and the clinic, so she didn't have the time she would have liked to for everyone. I'll go ahead and let everyone know they'll be expected to come in for physicals soon."

"Make sure you take some time to socialize though."

"I'll keep that in mind."

"Are there any other tests that you need to run?" he asked.

"And if you ever need a healer, a girl here named Rikku apparently does an amazing job."

She took a steadying breath and nodded, placing his file on her desk. "I'll try."
