History repeats itself.

WHO: CHRONOS and DR. HORRIBLE.
WHERE: Billy's apartment.
WHEN: After this.
WARNINGS: Derp.
SUMMARY: David and Billy compare ray sizes.
FORMAT: Whatever! Para/short para?

Acquaintances were interesting things. Chronos didn't realize until he got here how dependent he really was on Enid, no matter how cruel she could be sometimes. No, they had good times, and he still loved her. She was his best friend... and his only one.

So perhaps that was why he was enthused, at this moment, following this potential "friend" to discuss and demonstrate their inventions. It was what he always wanted and never got out of his coworkers or his wife: respect, and acknowledgment. He tried not to get his hopes up, keep wary, and he would -- but he couldn't help the optimism regardless.

Billy laughed, walking over to his kitchen. "I know what you mean. I think the only real person who has an office is my boss." He picked up a very impressive looking freeze ray from the kitchen counter, where it was just laying around.

"And here's the freeze ray!" He grinned, obviously showing it off.

Billy nodded, gently handing the freeze ray over to David. "Just don't drop it. I couldn't find Wonderflonium in this world, but I found a pretty good counterpart. Don't bounce it otherwise it'll explode." Yeah, he had many experiences in the lab with accidentally dropping the Wonderflonium. It was not pretty.

"It powers this baby," Billy said, grin on his face. "The Wonderflonium makes the ray run the best."

"Wonderflonium? It's an element. It's made in a lab in my world. Don't ask me what it's made of or anything like that." Billy gently set the ray on the kitchen counter, shrugging slightly.
