There's no place like home...

WHO: Madelyne Pryor [livejournal.com profile] medea_recast and open to those that could feel this.
WHERE: A small warehouse in the wrong part of town, in other words, the perfect location for a demonic safe-house.
WHEN: Sunday night.
WARNINGS: NPC transfiguration, and villains making plans?
SUMMARY: Maddie's taking a break from her Alaskan vacation to make herself a new home as outlined HERE. She might go shopping for curtains, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
FORMAT: TL;DR Para to start, then I'll match all taggers?

Power. She could feel it coursing through her veins, giving her life, setting her on fire. But it came slowly. To sink her claws into this one building, it had taken her nearly a full day. An equal time was dedicated to twisting the soul of the poor man that had stumbled in on her as she began. Twenty-four hours and counting. Without Limbo to draw on, everything took longer... but as the magic continued to build under her skin she began to laugh. Despite everything, the power was still there and here it was hers. No demons to be beholden to, no deals to honor, just her and the power. To build, to destroy, whatever she wanted.

So tonight she bent the world, just a little. With a final cry, she released the power within her, feeling it spread out into the building she'd claimed like life's blood through veins. She felt the floor shudder beneath her and settle. The walls began to change, pulsating with life of their own, almost organic as they darkened and twisted. Air through the vents sounded like breathing, and the creaking of supports and timber were like old bones, just beginning to move again. It became hers, and extension of self and will that none could enter without her permission, a home that was truly hers and reflected the darker nature of what passed for her carbon-copy of a soul.

With a smile she slowly turned to face what was left of the intruder laying on the floor behind her. She knelt beside him as he quivered in fear, running a finger down his nose, over his face and down to his chest. Pressing her palm to his heart, she released the remainder of the power she'd built. His features melted into something more primal, something out of nightmare and darkness. Hands twisted into claws, skin turned to leathery scales and wings stretched out from his back. He shuddered, the last scream of his humanity ripping from his throat before he hung his head, shaking.

Drained, she staggered back, barely able to stand on her own feet. As if summoned, a chair appeared behind her, perfectly placed for her to sink into as a ragged voice spoke from the floor. Her newly-made servant looked up at her even as he pressed himself downward in a show of submission. Mistress are you well?

She smiled, closing her eyes. "Just tired my pet, I need a slight break before I go back to Alaska." There were images to be maintained after all, she couldn't remain in the city much longer.

Still, minutes passed and she opened her eyes, a thought occurring to her. "Perhaps I should go outside for a bit, get some air." She needed to check the outside of the warehouse. The spell had been done with the intention to keep the exterior looking the same, but it wouldn't hurt to confirm it with her own eyes. Picking up the hooded coat she'd been wearing upon her arrival she ran a hand over it's length, transforming it into a dark cloak. Should anyone see her outside, it was all they would see.

"Follow." She headed toward the door, her demon pet following and they stepped into the cold city night to begin her inspection.

Shiro wasn't the brightest bulb in the box, but he had pure animal instincts. Instincts that told him that going inside this place would not be a good idea. Something about it was off.

But then again... he was bored. And what was some building going to do to him, Kurosaki Ichigo's Hollow? He'd blown up bigger buildings without so much as blinking.

"After you, lady~"
holeheart: (mischief managed)

"Ready as I'll ever be."

His sword was not immediately visible, no. But since it was just a physical incarnation of his power, he could summon it whenever he pleased. And he was ready and rarin' to pull it right out if he had to.

The Hollow cautiously approached the door, but did not step beyond the threshold once he noticed the pulsating room inside. His hand was at the ready as he stepped inside, one foot at a time.

The Hollow did neither. He wasn't going to be eaten. He was the eater. And he didn't run; running was for sissies. Instead he held out his hand and in a blast of black energy, a sword resembling a large butcher knife manifested in his hand and he used it to keep the mouth of the building open and, you know, not closed around him.

"Heheheheeh! I figured ya had a trick up ya sleeve, biyotch! GETSUGA TENSHOU!!" The foreign phrase caused his sword to glow with the same black and red energy before releasing it in a crescent-shaped arc. The expulsion of energy was fairly weak in term of Shiro's power, but plenty to show the building he meant business and enough to blow Shiro backwards and out of the maw.

The rather bratty monster swung the ridiculously oversized weapon over his shoulder as if it were nothing. He grinned and picked at an ear, "I wanted to see what would happen! So it's not a building; it's a monster."

"Pretty clever, tryin' ta feed me to yer overgrown pet. Shame it didn't work."

His amused expression faded rather quickly. While keeping his sword balanced on his shoulder with one hand, he extended the other, pointing his thumb, pointer and middle finger at the building... and the woman. At the tips of his fingers a ball of nuclear red energy began to form with loud sound accompanying it. Anyone with any ability to sense energy would be able to tell just how destructive this little ball was becoming.

"Now then. Give me one good reason not to blow up you and your pet and have your soul for dinner!"
holeheart: (I'll knock you off your damn throne)

THERE this one is slightly less dumb

"Other pet? I don't see any other...." It as then he felt the hands around his neck. Clawed, scrawny hands of some sort of beast. He didn't give the creature a chance to close it's hands too tightly. He vanished, seemingly into thin air with a burst of noise not unlike static, the nascent Cero blast dissipating into the air with a fading "wzzrrp" noise.

He appeared again on top of the adjacent warehouse, clearly visible in the moonlight due to his stark white skin and clothing. "Well, that was sneaky. How many pets you got? I'll have to keep an eye out~"

Not quite teleportation. But Madelyne didn't need to know exactly how it worked. Luckily Shiro also didn't care much about whether or not people knew what he could do. There was no point in hiding.

"I've still got a few questions! Like how you managed to bring a building ta life! And if it has a soul I can eat... either way, you and your pet warehouse are spillin' out spirit particles like no one's fuckin' business." His yellow eyes flashed a bit, dangerously. It was true, though. Just being in close proximity to this building was enough to satiate his hunger for energy a bit.

He barked out a harsh laugh in return, "Ha!! Thought it was worth a shot at any rate!!"

The boy licked his lips with blue tongue, "Damn. That's a shame. Something with that much power would be quite a treat..." he paused, "I'm not starving, Ichigo keep me from that... but I'm always hungry." For a Hollow, hunger never goes away. Ichigo's presence and his massive amount of spiritual energy that just kept on bubbling out of him like a fountain... well, that helped. But nothing could ever really fill a Hollow... even if said creature was more of a meta-Hollow than anything. He was far from the norm in that case.

He looked fairly innocuous, this boy who couldn't have been older than 16. But still, here he was, claiming he ate souls like popcorn.

"Now it's your turn to ask questions, ne?" He cackled, the otherworldly tone making it ever more creepy. He folded his arms and grinned, fangs gleaming. "They have to be dead first, duh. Of course, killing isn't something I am averse to, heheehehehaha! Why do you care anyway!"
holeheart: (shut me up)

"Izzat all." A question that was phrased more as a knowing statement. "You want someone offed, don't you~?" he trilled in an almost pleasant and playful voice, leaning on the sword that was just as tall as he was with a slightly lopsided, mischievous grin.

"Well that's all well and good if'n ya wanna kill some of the citizens of this City!" He cackled, "But if you kill the imPorts, you're gonna be sorely disappointed when they come back a week or so later!! Such a pain in my ass."
holeheart: (Default)

[personal profile] holeheart 2010-02-02 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
"Hehehe. Their souls are off limits too." He growled a little. He'd found that out first hand a few too many times for his liking.
holeheart: (oh is that so?)

[personal profile] holeheart 2010-02-02 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
The Hollow sneered, "What do you care anyway? Weird lady with the weird building. Che."
