[Toph, on the other hand, is a few minutes late because her usual cabbie wasn't available and this one was a jerk. She hops out of the car outside the ice cream shop and "looks" for Sarah. Her shoes (made by Edna Mode) don't muffle vibrations very much, but it's still a bit disorienting sometimes.]

[ Sarah spots her and walks over to her. As she does, she calls ] Toph? Over here.

[Grins up in Sarah's direction, recognizing her vibrations when she gets close enough.

Yes, that sounds good right now. [ She orders one scoop and then, to add variety, she has the server top it off with some cinnamon sprinkles. After they both have their ice creams, Sarah starts to walk over to a table. ]

Any idea how much longer winter is gonna last? I hate the cold.

It should start warming up once March comes along. The official end of winter and the start of spring is on the 21st or the 22nd of March, I believe. It'll be nice to have flowers blooming again.

It'll be nice to not have to wear shoes again. Edna made these for me and they're great, but they still muffle my vision.

[ Sarah tilts her head, curiously. She's figured out that Toph's blind, by being observant, and figured she was compensating for it somehow, since she functions so well, but hasn't ever asked about the mechanics. ] I imagine it'll be a relief, then.
